The title/description says "USB 3.0 Hub 4-Port 5Gbps". I read that as all four ports are USB 3.0. This is not true. Only one port measured at USB 3 speed. I used CrystalDiskMark to measure the speed achieved with one USB flash drive. I plugged in the flash drive directly into my computers USB 2 port and USB 3 port to measure a baseline speed. I then plugged in the USB hub in the computer USB 3 port. I then plugged in the USB flash drive into each of the 4 hub ports. For each hub port, I ran CrystalDiskMark to measure the speed of that port. The speed of the first port (closest to the cable) was close to the USB 3 baseline speed. The other 3 hub ports were close to the USB 2 baseline speed. Calling this hub a USB 3 hub is misleading since three of the ports operate at USB 2 speed. Read more

As a student in college, I find that with a surface pro 7+ you are limited to one normal USB port. This expansion is great when you need external memory access with external mouse and other connections. Great purchase. Read more

I recently picked up some extra hardware I needed to connect to my Playstation 4 console, so I ordered this 4-port hub in hopes of tidying things up around my game room. Since my capture card requires that it be plugged directly into a port on the console, I was hoping I'd be able to use this hub for controller charging and also to connect my external hard drive. Unfortunately, the external drive wouldn't work while plugged into the hub, but the controllers seemed to charge as expected. Honestly, I had a feeling it would work out this way which is why I didn't want to dump a ton of money into a hub, but I'm definitely not bummed about my order - I've got plenty of other USB devices that need wrangling and this little hub should do the trick. The only thing I do have a little concern about is that the casing on the hub is not very heavy duty. While I was able to get cables into each slot, the internal board does look a little bowed - I'm not sure if it's just how it sits in the casing or if the casing is a little weird. On the bright side, that wasn't enough to cause much issue - I didn't have to jam anything in there to get the cables seated properly, and they all seem to fit snuggly. Also I'm not really sure what's up with the "3.3ft" in the listing title - the cable measures about 11 inches from the casing (so don't go into this thinking you're getting a 3 foot cable). All in all, I'm pleased with the product and hope that I'll get a reasonably long life out of it. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Very fast connection. I am able to charge my phone, pull data and run a mouse all at the same time using this hub. It is nice and small for packing or storing in your computer bag. I would highly recommend it. Not super expensive just to have one in your laptop bag, and maybe a second for your desk. Read more

Cheap casing. Most devices wont accept the connection due to low power mode from splitter. Usb ports feel cheap and brittle . Cannot recomend this item for any reason whatsoever. Read more
