Perfect for pickleball
Disclosure: I use this backpack for pickleball. This is as close to perfect (for me) as it gets for my pickleball needs. The zippered compartment closest to your back comfortably holds up to 3 paddles (always have a backup for tournament days, plus an extra one for a friend that doesn’t have one). The main zippered compartment holds just about anything you need it to. Snacks, sunscreen, first aid, gear stuff (extra overgrip, lead tape, electrical tape, etc), cones for training/drilling, small speaker, etc. If needed (e.g., you’re testing new paddles), it can hold 4 additional paddles in this pocket. The mesh zippered pocket inside the main compartment can hold any paperwork you might have for tournaments, or anything else you want to keep separate from rest of your gear. The top small zippered pocket is perfect for wallet, phone, keys, chapstick, etc. while playing. I use the front, stretchy mesh compartment as my ball holder. I unzip it fully and clip the stretchy mesh part to create an easy-access ball compartment. It’s perfect for ease of access without allowing the contents to fly out accidentally. My favorite feature: the shoe compartment. Unlike 99% of backpacks I’ve tried, this one provides room for a pair of size 11 shoes to fit in the bottom, without encroaching on the main compartment. So many bags have a shoe compartment that, when used, renders the upper part of the bag useless. Water bottle sleeves are adequate, nothing to write home about. Holds my 40oz hydro without any issues so far. My only gripe with this bag is the fence hook. Its attachment point to the bag feels very flimsy, and I do worry about it’s durability. The narrow strap tends to make the bag pull very sharply in the point of attachment when hung on a fence. Read more
