Well made. I’ve used weighted vest in the past, they are usually oversized with the weight draping over you, hindering movement and causing pain. This (V-force 40 lb) vest has a great fit. It has real removable weights not sand bags. No option to add weight if you are looking to challenge yourself more. Forty pounds is plenty for stair climbing. A bit pricey but in comparison for half the price you can buy a heavier vest with sandbags, I think this one will last a lifetime. I’ve only used this vest a couple times, I noticed the velcro strap is longer on one side, haven’t tried to figure out why, but it secures properly. I’m a 128 lb female with a physically active job. This weight vest has taken my workouts to another level! I mean, I could probably up the difficulty of my calisthenics workouts with changes in body positioning... but I'm too lazy to research that right now and this weight vest just lets me do a lot of the same movements but with added difficulty! :-) I'll transition to more difficulty movements eventually, but I feel like the weight vest is a quick "easy" way to add to the progression. So this is the first review I've written on Amazon but I feel like this product deserves it. This thing is solid as a rock, everything about it is perfect... It's comfortable and adjustable to fit just about anyone, the weights are 2.5lb "stones" that can be inserted/removed with ease (this is a huge benefit because some other weight vests use bags of sand or iron ore so if the bag breaks, you have a huge mess on your hands), and it just looks cooler than most weight vests I've seen. The best part about it is definitely the comfortability. I got the narrow shoulder version because I wanted to use it for pull-ups and it doesn't get in the way of my movements at all (granted I have somewhat broad shoulders). I got this so I can start training for a really big hike I want to do this summer. The 16 individual weights are 2.5 pounds each and go in and out of the holders fairly easily. The one complaint I have is the strap to hold it on... It's bulky and, kind of hard to deal with by yourself. I found the instructions to be rather terse and not very helpful - however, I think I found something that'll work. Read more
