For reference, I am 5’0 and 140lbs, 36C. I bought it in black, size medium, it’s ribbed as well and it fits like a glove. It sits right above my knees and on my petite form it is difficult to find dresses that do so. It hugs my person perfectly and in all the right places. Form fitting not like other sweater dresses. I will be pairing it w fleece lined off black tights and tall 3.5 inch black pointed boots. OMG I just received the dress today and it is PERFECT! I am so thrilled to add it to my holiday and December birthday wardrobe! I am 5’4” and 110 lbs and size Small fits PERFECTLY! The hem is about 4” above the knee same as model in the ad. The one thing I was looking for was a tag to indicate what side was the back, but I noticed there was a flattering design in the front knit cabling (🔥extra bonus!) that indicated it was the front. It is very unusual that I can find a dress that fits me perfectly. I often need to make some minor adjustments for a correct and proportional fit according to my personal requirements. This can entail wearing an infinity scarf to camouflage a neckline that is too wide, some sort of shawl or wrap to hide droopy shoulders, and/or a stretchy belt to define the contour of my waist. However, this dress offers me a perfect fit, and this medium weight fabric is soft against my skin. As a reference, I am 5’ 2”, and I weigh well under 100 lbs. Therefore, the 2-8 sizing, offers the extra small fitting which is appropriate for me. This dress is different from my other stretchy fabric dresses. Instead of the usual thinner ‘elasticized material’, the material of this dress has a very soft, slightly thicker, and a plushy springy suppleness that expands to fit my form, but still maintains its shape. This offers a form fitting dress but without appearing thinner along my curvy areas. I chose the purple color which is a deep royal purple and this darker shade is appropriate for the colder months of autumn and winter. Although it has a soft draping cowl neck, the inner neckline does not fall past my collarbone. The vertical textured material lines down the length of the dress have a very slimming effect, and which offers me a taller appearance, which I am happy to accept. I have thin shoulders, almost 14”, and I'm pleased that these shoulders fit, and do not droop. However, that's the minimum length, and the material will stretch to fit a more normal and regular shoulder length. The sleeves come down to the bottom of my wrists, and thankfully don't cover my hands. The top portion hugs my chest, although it is form fitting, the material is not overly tight, and therefore it does NOT give a 'tacky' appearance. The middle conforms to my waist, and I don't need a stretchy belt to define my waistline, and the dress flows evenly down my hips without any bothersome clinging. The bottom hem comes right to the top of my knee and therefore it’s an appropriate length to wear with either my high heels, my knee or my over the knee high boots. In addition, I don’t need to wear any leggings under the dress as it’s long enough as an appropriate length. This beautiful dress is not transparent at all, and my underwear remains out of view. However, it is a form fitting dress, and therefore ‘straight-lined’ or shape wear undergarments are best to minimize any underwear lines. I love that this dress is very soft, and has the correct proportional fit without any adjustments. Although it’s form fitting, it is not clingy, and it does not ride up my legs when I walk. In addition, this dress will adapt to a little versatility, such as a long chain worn around my neck. Alternatively, worn with a contrasting and decorative belt around my waist to match my shoes adds a characteristic style. This is a ‘go-to’ dress for any social gathering or non-formal event, and it’s a perfect outfit for dinner out with my husband. It’s has a soft fabric and it’s comfortable to wear all day.
