Smells lovely, looks cool, great packaging and customer service! The tube key which allows you to get all the product out is perfect and it’s cool they add that. I’ve seen reviews say it’s not oily and others say it is, but it’s a sunscreen so it will be a little oily but it’s not a greasy oily paste that never goes away like other brands. Just use correctly if you over apply it will feel thick. This is also good for my sensitive skin, the white liquid sunscreens that stink, always burn my skin especially in the sun, but I’ve never had that with this product! I was intrigued by reading about the cult following this sunscreen has had for the last several decades until it was discontinued. This is the recreation of the original as vetted by scientists and most importantly, by the fans of the original. They worked until the balm to oil feel was perfect as well as making sure the scent matched the original. Not everyone might like the smell but to me it smells expensive and reminds me of a private beach club... I am in love with this orange gelee not just because of the back story but because of the way it melts into my skin and makes it super soft and moisturized while also having a 30 SPF. It really soaks into the skin and also has repaired my split fingernail and those horrible vertical lines... I am never without a spare! Read more

This is the first time I have tried the orange gelee and I absolutely love it. Normally, I do not spend 20 dollars on a tube of lotion however I was looking for something to replace product by J&J that was discontinued. Having allergy and asthma triggered by smells I must be very careful so this was a gamble for me. First of all it did not trigger any allergic response whatsoever and had a very pleasant scent different but yet similar to the discontinued product. The lotion is absorbed very well by the skin leaving no greasy residue whatsoever. Granted there are times I prefer greasy like when tending to tomatoe garden because the ticks won’t adhere to oily skin. In such cases I can put some baby oil on top of this product. The next product I plan on trying is the baby oil spf 30 by vacation. If the smell is good and the ticks stay away, I’m happy. This is spf 30 and water resistant for 80 minutes. If you loved the discontinued product, you’ll love this one because it goes on clean and does it job. Love this product …..worth the extra money. Read more

In the 80's I loved the old Nain de Soleil commercials. At the time, BDS was the best, most luxurious of Suntan products. I used it every day in the summer: it smelled heavenly and my skin was smooth and my tans were rich and dark. I was heartbroken when I could no longer find it!...and I SEARCHED. I mean, diligently. I found ONE. One tube on Ebay. It was a pretty penny, but worth it. This year, I started to look for a dupe....zove got the internet at my finger tips, right?! Imagine the sublime and delicious joy. The unmitigated glee of finding Vacation Orange Gelée?! It smells and looks like Bain de Soleil. I liked the old name...sounds chi chi poo poo, but hey, its orange, its gelée...I am SO not complaining! I even mixed half a tube in my after shower oil. I've gotten compliments on my "perfume." I just say, "thanks," because to explain would be a whole thing. I just ordered my third tube. Im loving the key that come with it, so I don't miss a drop of this nectar! I'm taking it to the Bahamas as it does have a higher SPF: 30 rather than the 4 it used to be. I can't wait to transform into my Bronze Goddess era! Not as good as Ban de Soleil, does not have the same smell. Works well as a shiny orange gel tanning gel and tube is easy to use and store for use later. Read more

If you loved Bain de soleil I highly recommend trying Vacation orange gelee. The key is great and ensures you get all the product to the last bit I’ve also purchased the SPF 50 lotion and love it for the sunscreen protection needed at beginning of season, and the rich feel. The product pamphlet explains how the gelee was created to provide a similar scent and feel to Bain de soleil and surpass it for protection at SPF 30. This sunscreen is so luxurious in every way. It goes on so smoothly and has a soft tint. It smells like a vacation in the tropics and most importantly it doesn't go in your eyes and make you cry. My only complaint is I wish it were SPF 60 because I live in a sunny climate. Read more
