These jumbo vacuum storage bags are helpful, but they still come with some drawbacks, which is why I’m giving them three stars. I purchased these specifically for large, bulky items, and the jumbo size is great. One bag was able to hold five decorative pillows, and another worked perfectly for festive throw blankets. They definitely do what they’re meant to do in terms of compressing items and saving space, which was my main goal. The bags themselves, however, feel a bit cheap. One of the jumbo bags busted at the bottom while vacuum sealing, which made me nervous about durability. Out of the three jumbo bags I’ve used so far, only one failed, so it’s not terrible—but it’s enough to raise concern about reusability and long-term reliability. The valve design isn’t great. Even with a vacuum, the air doesn’t always want to come out smoothly, and if you’re not quick sealing the valve afterward, air can slip back in, which can be frustrating. The zip seal is another mixed point. It’s easy to pull apart and can be tricky to start sealing. The bags do include a plastic sealing slider, which you’ll need to use as the final step to make sure the seal is secure. The plastic is fully clear, and the bags are clearly labeled by size, and each one has printed instructions, which is helpful. The jumbo bags I’ve packed so far are holding steady, but I do worry about the seals loosening or the plastic tearing over time since the material doesn’t feel very thick. Overall, I don’t regret buying these because they significantly improved my storage space, especially for seasonal items.
