I like that this has just simple ingredients for barrier repair and gentle preservatives. I do medical microneedling and was looking for something simple to use the following day that would help my skin heal. I normally just use shea butter and hyaluronic acid and zinc sunscreen. Unfortunately, this product did not work for the day after needling. It made my skin sting so I rinsed it off. But after a few days I started using this topped with a dab of shea butter and wow my skin has never been so hydrated and smooth. I normally have a dehydration line and flakimess, but both of those issues were almost gone after a couple weeks. With it being so cheap, it's worth a try if you have barrier/dehydration issues. I think the combo of ceramides and fatty acids and the lack of actives makes a difference. I am prone to clogged pores but this did not make them worse. Very pleasantly surprised with this. After a four month bout with what was first diagnosed as Seborrheic dermatitis and the. Rediagnosed as rosacea, this is only one of two moisturizers I’ve found that does not irritate my skin. I’ve used expensive department store brands my whole life so when I try drugstore brands i vow to never try them again. But after having such an ordeal with rashes, bumps and redness all over i figured I’d try anything if it works for me. This moisturizer actually moisturizes very well. It does not feel gross or tacky on the skin after a couple of minutes and it leaves no feeling of residue. It works wonderfully under foundation and makes a nicer canvas than the other more expensive brand that I’ve also been using (a water gel by dermologica). It doesn’t irritate anything and is just great. When I wear it under sunscreen it can be a bit much but I use a sunscreen that is heavy on silicone and is a primer type.
