I use Vanicream Liquid Cleanser because it’s truly free and clear — and that’s exactly what my skin needs. So many cleansers are packed with dyes, fragrance, and harsh ingredients that can trigger irritation, but this one keeps things simple and gentle. It’s completely free of fragrance, dyes, parabens, and formaldehyde, which means I can wash my face without worrying about breakouts or reactions. The formula is mild, yet it still leaves my skin feeling clean and soft — never tight or dry. I love that it’s dermatologist-tested and safe for sensitive skin, eczema, or anyone who just wants a product that doesn’t cause problems. For me, it’s peace of mind in a bottle — just clean, calm, healthy skin. Read more

I'm very interested in skin care, I have sensitive skin and I don't use products with fragrance and other irritants. Finding body cleansers without fragrance is so difficult, since most body washes are heavily fragranced. The Free & Clear Liquid Cleanser is indeed effective, making a nice medium-thick lather, but not too much foam; I usually use it with a bath sponge. I have the tendency of developing dry patches (like atopic dermatitis); this cleanser is gentle enough for me and comforts the skin. It doesn't over dry my skin, it actually leaves it somewhat soft (but I still need to apply moisturizer afterwards). The formula is quite simple, but I don't want fancy skincare ingredients in my body wash. It can also be used as a face wash, since the ingredient list is so clean; but only as a second step cleanser, not an actual make-up remover. I have sensitive eyes and this cleanser doesn't irritate them. The bottle is very practical, the pump works perfectly and helps me dispense the right amount each time. I use one short pump for the face and 2-3 long pumps for the body. I really appreciate that the bottle was wrapped in plastic for shipping, to avoid any spills; mine arrived in perfect conditions. For a body wash 8 oz is just too little product, but I noticed that the company actually sells 32 oz refills as well; the refills are not a way better deal in terms of price, just more convenient for larger households. The cleanser is the best, I use it for washing my face and it removes sunscreen and mineral makeup, you need extra makeup remover for other types of makeup though like mascara and eyeliner. But for daily usage it works well for me to clean without drying my face! I have rosacea so this cleanser is the best I have tried! Read more

Recently diagnosed with Eczema, I've been on a non-stop mission to find 'all things non-irrating' to replace all my personal and household products which aggravate my eczema. This said it's suitable for "hands, face and body", and is free of a whole bunch of common irritants and is fragrance-free so I gave it a try. I bought one for my bathroom sink and one for the kitchen sink, and will probably add it to my shower too if I can't find a suitable body wash. It makes my hands feel nice and clean: not stripped but not moisturized from extra crap, just CLEAN. I almost forgot what plain ol' clean feels like because most hand soaps have added garbage that moisturize, exfoliate, etc. This does nothing fancy, it just gives you an honest, simple clean. I washed my face with it and I always have to moisturize immediately afterward because my skin is very dry, but just for the sake of testing this product, I didn't moisturize right away. My skin didn't have that tight and itchy feeling, which was refreshing indeed. I do still need to moisturize my face, but my test showed that it's at least not harsh in any way. It has a nice lather, semi-low lathering but still enough to satisfy the senses and feels silky in the hands. My only complaint is the price. These are small bottles. There is a larger refill bottle but I still feel it's a bit on the pricey side in my opinion. I will continue to buy it, but like I said above, if I can find a less expensive eczema-friendly product for body wash I will, and reserve this for face and hands. On the plus side, a little goes a long way, I only need a very small amount for hand washing, not a full pump - maybe not even half a pump, so that helps take the some of the sting out of the price. Overall I'm very happy with this so far and I think my poor, irritated skin will thank me. Read more
