Nothing less than 5 stars
I am trying to think of reasons why this shouldn’t be 5 stars. I can’t think of one. I used it for pecan pie and was told it was one of the best pecan pies ever. I have put this in blueberry muffins and pancakes. Amazing results. I moved on to start putting it in my coffee, tea, and smoothies. I may be obsessed. It’s really good. It gives way better vanilla flavor than the extracts. Not sure how extracts became so much more popular when this is so tasty!!!!!! Read more
Definitely worth a try
This product is top notch. I used it for the first time making pecan pie bars and the flavor is just absolutely amazing. The only bummer is I bought it last week and now it’s on sale this week. Read more
Price for amount Not justified
The media could not be loaded. It is my fault for not reading properly but I was sure this was 5oz. not 0.5oz. $13 for this tiny bit of vanilla powder!? This is the worst purchase I have made to date. I read the reviews but still wanted to purchase to try for myself. Again, thinking I would get my monies worth for the size. It smells good. I plan to use it in a tea mix I plan on making. I see were it says it does not break down. I plan to grind it to make it more fine. I will post an update after I grind to see if it truly was a waste of money. $13.00 for 0.5oz NOT 5oz that may possibly not even melt properly makes this not worth the buy. Look elsewhere. **Update** Why did I forget this!! When you buy Vanilla bean ice cream, or a Vanilla bean Frappuccino what do you see? Vanilla Bean flakes! So for the people saying it does not “break down” if you are a true Vanilla Bean lover like myself, you consume it in your drinks and desserts already. NOW: I did grind it further for my tea. And I must say it gave the perfect taste of vanilla!! And when I saw it in my drink I then realized that is how it looks in every other vanilla bean consumable I have had. Flavor is not good
I was expecting this to be fantastic for ice cream, custards, and the like, but I do not find the flavor to be good. It should be like good vanilla beans, but it just isn't. It gives a weird flavor to my ice cream that I do not find pleasant. As far as the size, yes, it is small, but it is sold by weight. Not knowing how small the amount actually is really isn't an excuse to criticize the small package. I'd have been happy if the flavor had been great. Read more
