I was initially so pleased with this crate cushion (size large) in every way, but now I am back to 'square one' with no cushion for my puppy to lay on. After only four months, the zipper split and now the cover won't stay on! The broken zipper has rendered an otherwise quality cushion useless, even though it had nicely kept it's shape and the plush cover had not worn! This is an utter disappointment. Had the zipper lasted, I would have scored it a 'five.' I have been unable to find contact information for the seller; if the seller can help me make good on it by offering another cover, I will raise the score! Update: I am so pleased with the way Vankean reached out to me to handle my issue with the defective zipper. I am updating the rating on my original post as promised. Good customer service is becoming more of a rare thing these days; companies as Vankean should be commended and supported. I highly recommend the dog crate cushion for its softness, thickness, and durable cover material. My Border Collie puppy loves it and sleeps comfortably in the size 'large' cushion after a hard day's work! I will update this review with a photo after I receive the replacement cushion. When you receive it it will be compressed. Let it have about an hour to come to it's full fluffiness. Unfortunately I didn't have that hour because two cats and one dog took the whole thing over and kept fighting each other for it. I would say that is enough proof that it is going to be well loved. I bought it for my older dog that has accidents in her kennel. I love the fact that the mattress itself is waterproof and the cover can be zipped off. The zipper worked well for me but we have not washed it yet. Another thing I really love is that one side is really fuzzy, warm, soft and fluffy and the other side is cool and that will help in these dreadful heat days of Texas. This mattress seems very durable and it fit our kennel perfectly. It's the best thickness for the kennel and it seems to retain its shape and my dogs old joints really love the padding that it provides. Really great purchase. Read more

This is a super soft and comfortable bed for our pup but it is NOT waterproof. He’s still potty training and has accidents in his crate from time to time and when I removed the outer cover I noticed the liner was stained. After closer inspection, the urine had leaked all the way through to the padding below. Putting the inside into the wash now, but if past washing of egg crate material has taught me anything it’s that it doesn’t hold up to frequent passes through the washing machine. I was thrilled with the bed until this happened because it fit the crate beautifully and it’s super soft. Pup seems to love it but need something that can withstand some peepee accidents while he’s still learning. Read more
