I didn't know how much I needed a wrist rest until I started using this one. Now I can't type without it. It's very soft but still gives you support, like putting your hands on a firm memory foam pillow. I spend a lot of time at my desk every day, and this thing has definitely helped my wrists and forearms feel less tense. The top feels smooth and really nice, and I like that it doesn't make my wrists sweat even after a long day of work. It also has a surprisingly good grip on the bottom; it doesn't slide around at all, even when I'm typing like crazy at work or playing games late at night. It is also easy to clean. I just wipe it down with a damp cloth and it looks like new again. It's long enough that I can sit right in front of my full-size keyboard and have enough room to move my hands around without falling off the edge, too. The memory foam standard size keyboard rest feels really nice with a thick high quality memory foam inner and a nice durable fabric that is easy to clean off with a damp cloth. The bottom of the rest is made of a sticky finish which really holds the wrist pad in place without movement. There are little dimples in the top of the rest. Comfortable material that provides light support for the wrists or elbows or forearms (depending on where you position it and your arms). It has a plastic sheet on the bottom that needs to be removed before use or the cushion may slide around on the desktop, but without the plastic, it stays put. I already have my laptop on an inclined riser, so the extra boost from this pad is welcome and puts me into a more comfortable alignment. I've been working with computers since the late 90's. My wrists are old and busted now, so I have to ensure they are kept level to my keyboard. This wrist pad has good thickness and is supportive, while simultaneously being quite cushiony. Unfortunately, the surface material seems to have a lot of friction with my skin, despite feeling almost spandex-like.
