This is a time tested occlusive moisturizer. I have even used it on scrapes to prevent bandages from sticking. Pros: Vaseline brand will not melt and separate into oil at normal room temperature as some generic brands do. A value for that very reason. There is no waste. Smooth petroleum jelly without oily residue. Remains stable. No noticeable scent, no irritants. Great for dry elbows or even a dab on lips, rather than lip balm. Cons: These jars are fairly small for the price. But I bought two and each is a handy size. One will go into our first aid kit, along with sterile cotton tipped applicators in order to prevent adulteration and bacterial growth. Summary: Still a must have product for rough skin, and the actual brand of Vaseline seems more important than ever. Read more
