I'm at my desk all day for work, then I browse the internet and play computer games after hours. It's important for me to have a nice, clean desk space so I can be productive and enjoy being there. Having this combo really helps with that. The mat provides a soft texture that makes my cheap IKEA particle board desk feel a bit more luxurious. It doubles up as a giant mouse pad, so I don't have to worry about running out of space when I'm quickly moving my mouse around while playing games. This mat is huge, so be sure to pay attention to the dimensions. It's thinner than my old desk mat, but it is almost twice the depth. The mat is nice, but I really got this set for the wrist pads. I'm getting older, and my joints are getting worse. Being at my computer for 16 hours a day doesn't help, so having little creature comforts like a soft wrist pad makes a big difference for me. The wrist pads are dark, almost black color with a nice quilted texture on top. It feels nice, soft, and classy. Although it looks and feels good, crumbs can get in between the ridges. Nothing too bad, you can wipe it out easily. The bottom of the wrist pads has a grippy texture that helps keep them from sliding around, just remember to take off the plastic. The wrist pad fits perfectly across my full-size 104-key keyboard. However, since my mechanical keyboard has taller keys, I do wish the pad was a bit higher, but I haven’t found any taller ones. The height for the mouse wrist rest is perfect for me. I wish the logo wasn't right on the front of it. I have both a laptop and desktop computers and I tested this set on both setup. I think this works better on my laptop than on my desktop computer because it’s not thick though to lift my hands high enough to be at an optimal angle. I really like using it on my laptop. When I work on my laptop for long periods of time, my wrist always hurts. It feels like I have carpal tunnel again. The wrist rest provides support and relief. The bottom has a slip resistant film that makes it stay in place on my desk. The cushion is soft and comfortable. The only thing that might give pause is the design. It collects small debris and dust from everyday use and I need to occasionally blow dust on it with my electric duster. But, the memory foam is excellent. Overall, I like using this set on my laptop.
