I this little candle lantern. It has the door to put in the tea light candle and a handle in case one has a lantern hanger like in a garden It is made of metal and glass. I have several of these and I have never broken one. I think they rarely break under normal use--but with glass you would not want to drop it. It does not need to be assembled. This one is blue but they come in several colors. the brightness depends on the candle. It is a candle lantern. They are great for those early evening meals outside in the summer. Would of been 5 stars if it met MY expectations. I had an idea of what I was hoping and it fell short. The item itself is pretty decently made and overall, very cute. Here is why it is a 4 star rating: I purchased this for a gift, so I had to inspect it before gifting it. It came in a generic brown box and I wish it did have a fancier display box, so plan accordingly if you do want to gift this (e.g. gift bag). It was a little smaller than I expected since I was using the dimensions they gave us to purchase the right size candle. It fit the 3" (D) x 4"(H) candle (battery powered "flickering" candle) perfectly but the glass panes were not as big as I thought since I also wanted to put red fairy lights inside too. The battery pack for fairy lights didn't give enough room to center the "flame" correctly of the candle. I left those out. One glass pane came out immediately upon unpacking, but fortunately was not damaged because the inside was packed with foam. There are brackets holding them in and was easy fixed. I wished I thought to take a picture before I gifted it. To help visualize dimensions, tall as a regular ruler for framed its highest point of the hanger, but take away about 3 inches for main visual piece. A bit fatter than a 3" pillar candle. The glass windows are about the size of a king size candy bar with the thick metalwork around it. I would purchase this again knowing what to expect for next time. Read more
