Well made aftermarket alternative to the ‘original’ brand product that cost 3x the price of this product. Another time I tried an even cheaper aftermarket alternative than this one , but the quality of the cheaper one was way too poor. The Velpeau CMC Thumb Brace works wonderfully for my Osteoarthritis. It is comfortable, easily adjustable and does not irritate the skin even after prolonged use. It relieves the pain during various activities such as plaing my guitar and doing yoga excercises such as "downward-facing dog" which put considerable pressure on the CMC area. Another important advantage is that, unlike other products, it is very compact, which enables me to wear it under my gym gloves or mountain bike gloves, for double protection during workout and riding. I measured my palm according to the instructions. I feel that the thumb hole size is more important for a better fit. I think a bigger brace would work better for my hand. I do like the brace. It is just what my thumb needs...to stabilize the one joint that is inflamed. I have used other thumb braces and they just don't work for me since they tend to keep my thumb in an awkward position. This one allows my thumb to be in a more natural position but stabilize the joint that hurts. I would have given 5 stars if the thumb hole is bigger. Read more
