I bought this backpack specifically for work travel. I needed something that looked professional, had room for all of computer accessories, and was comfortable to carry through the airport. There is a padded back pocket for my laptop, interior pockets for my cords, and a sleeve on the back so you can put the bag on your carry on handle. I really like this backpack. I use it almost every day for work. I was surprised at how big it is. My favorite part, which was why I decided on this one specifically, is because the fabric is water repellent. I have been caught in the rain a few times, and most the water just rolls right off. It also has a lot of smaller pockets to help stay organized. I wish I would have had this when I was in school! Read more

I own a similar size backpack from Vera Bradley in cotton fabric, and absolutely love it for the look/size/comfort. As we're getting ready for a cruise to Alaska, I wanted something similar but with some water-resistance built in. One of the biggest things I love Vera Bradley product for is being sturdy and substantial, but still amazingly light and soft/comfortable. This fabric was a little bit of a let down on that front - it was noticeably heavier than my cotton one (not super heavy, but I have a pretty high bar), and much more rigid in a way that reduced shoulder straps comfort when on. it's still a beautiful backpack with all the Vera Bradley fanciness that comes with the name, just not a good fit for what I was hoping to use it for. I needed a bag for work that had enough space that I would not need to carry multiple bags. I liked that the back section zips all the way and can lay flat. I do have TSA Pre but it’s nice to have that feature if needed. The main part has a gusset which seems to provide a little extra structure which will keep it from flopping too much. I even discovered an extra slip pocket in the side behind the right side exterior zip pocket. The external zip pockets aren’t meant for water bottles but I favor small slender bottles and they do fit. There’s also an internal bottle pocket. Read more
