I used this with one of the cursed 16" Macbook Pro "heat your office" models for about six months, and the stand is so solidly built there were days when I wanted to bash the $4000 Cupertino heat-sink to bits with it. Now I got a computer that isn't so infested with Jony Ive's mistaken notions of engineering, and I look forward to putting it in this stand. The stand is solid, adjustable, and looks awesome especially with metal notebooks. Much better quality than I expected for the price. I bought this with the purpose of saving space on my desk, since I only use my laptop as a desktop, and I have a separate keyboard, mouse and monitor. It is sturdy and easy to use, and I like that it sits above the desk by over 1/2" so that I can pass cables under it and keep them out of the way. The depth adjustment operates easily with one knob and one hand while the other hand holds the laptop in place until the adjustment is finished. I've been using this vertical laptop stand for a little more than 2 weeks and I really like it. High quality and well-built/balanced. The rubberized feet help it stands stable and wouldn't move around. The adjusting nob turns smoothly and my ThinkPad T480s fits perfectly in it. There are a pair of cushions in tween the two "clamps" so that it won't scratch your device. I choose the metal grey color which matches my business tyle laptop and desktop settings.
