There is something very strange about the way that these boots fit. It is like the heel is lower than the forefoot, so it feels like I am standing in a hole. Having my foot flexed like that is very uncomfortable. I ended up getting a pair of (quite thick) heel lifts and putting them in and now they feel like they are flat. The boots overall are warm and thick with a plush lining. There are a lot of laces that are a bit annoying to lace up and undo and I'm not fond of the manufacturer's lacing pattern, so that will be changed, but at least laces allow for a adjustable fit. The soles are definitely grippy and non-slip. I normally wear a 7.5 but half sizes weren't available. The 8 doesn't feel overly large as sometimes can happen. These boots fit me perfectly! When I slid my foot in them, I could instantly feel the soft warm lining. They lace up very nicely. The rubber soles have a really good grip which should help keep traction in the snow. I know with these boots, I will never have cold toes! Now we just need the snow! I would highly recommend.
