Our rescue kitty had a small scab on the base of his tail, and it was perfectly fine until he started licking the heck out of it. This spray and a cone solved the issue pretty quickly, and the scab healed very nicely. The spray smells a teeny bit, but for it being so effective I can overlook the smell. I have used this spray in the past in a chicken that was attacked by a dog pulled back the skin on neck. Healed with no infection, did have a bump but I suppose if I’d paid hundreds on a vet to stitch it’d be a little smoother. This time my cat had a cut and abrasion. Order the Vetericyn spray because my indoor/outdoor cat had two wounds on his forehead, one rather large, the other adjacent, smaller. Looked for something to help them heal and the reviews of this product were very positive. Used it on him one time, and he bolted. A second time we held him and after one spray he fought to get away. After that, the larger wound looked much worst. Finally determined that the spray irritated his skin so much that he rubbed it off! Now, after about a week with no spray, the small wound has healed and the larger one is looking better everyday. I wished it has worked, however, for my cat it was so painful for him that he had to get rid of it. FYI, my cat is very chill with very little that upsets him, his reaction was very impactful. This spray works really well for helping wounds heal. I used it on my cat, and it’s gentle and effective. While my cat is scared of the spray sound, I was able to apply it easily using a Q-tip instead. It still worked great and helped the wound heal nicely. Very useful product for cat wound care. Good stuff. Really helped my feral cats wound heal up. It was easy spraying him at first but them he caught on to me and would run but by that time he was showing much improvement and months later he's still doing good. About 3 sprays and he was healing nicely so yes it does work. No smell that I could tell and it didn't seem to burn but this was a feral cat who it was tried on. Second feral cat I tried it on did not seem bothered by it but he is more social. Read more
