These are a unique and fun pillow cover with the leather strip detailing. The boucle fabric gives some texture and depth to my decor. They are the perfect green to go with my Christmas decor! The zippers seem as though they will hold up, I have not yet washed but I wash my covers frequently due to my 3 dogs. I hope the stripes hold up and don't show any wear or rippling after going thru the wash. The size is perfect for my pillow inserts. My pillows needed a refresh and this set works nicely. They're a good quality material, not too soft, not too stiff, like a loose terrycloth, like bouclé. I have pets and a lot of material seems to be a magnet for pet hair, but these don't seem to catch hair like that. I got the cream color, so it goes with almost anything. They're machine washable and held up well to a delicate cycle of wash, but i wasn't sure how the leather-like strips would do in the dryer, so i just air dried them and they dried quickly. They were easy to stuff the pillow into, and they have a well-hidden zipper that functioned well. The leather-like strips dress it up a little so it's not so plain. Like most of you, I am pretty selective about the items I choose to purchase. I take the time to look at many things before finally choosing something. No one needs another useless purchase and no one has the time to return something; so, I hope this review can help you. This set of two pillowcases with invisible zipper are well-made. The material is thick boucle in an Oatmeal color with a matching faux leather stripe accent on the front of each pillow case. I like that I can wash and dry the cases in the machine, as sometimes you can’t with faux leather material. The only downside is that the color of the faux leather isn’t exactly a cool ashy oatmeal color. It kind of leans more towards a warm blush color. If you’re looking for that, you might want to consider purchasing the Oatmeal pillowcase. Read more
I recently received this "18x18 Black Pillow Covers Set of 2 Textured Boucle Accent Pillow Cases with Faux Leather Striped Square Cushion Cover for Bed Couch Sofa Living Room Home Decor" and they're perfect to tie in the black throw rug I'm using in an adjacent space. I was looking for some 18" square, black pillow covers when I came across this pair. I wanted them because I have a black and white area rug I'm using to coordinate with a black loveseat I recently acquired. The rest of the room is mostly earth tones, so I needed something to tie the loveseat in with the rest - thus, the rug. It was looking pretty cohesive, but I felt like a couple of black throw pillows would complete it, and these are doing the job very nicely. The fabric is boucle, which I've seen used only as upholstery or for pillow covers like these. It's a very textured fabric, but the weave of it seems pretty tight, and I did not come across any loose threads or obvious snags that would make me think these will unravel, so yay for that! The faux leather accent stripes are a nice touch, and although I think these would look just as nice without the embellishment, the parallel stripes elevate these just enough to make them usable with both casual and formal settings, not to mention that adding another texture (the faux leather) is always nice for other visual tie-ins. The zippers are a bit delicate, but feel sturdy, and they stay hidden under the flap, which is also a nice touch. These covers seem well made to me, feel pretty comfy against the skin (a tad bit rough, but that's the nature of boucle, I think), and have a simple, versatile design that can blend easily with various decorative styles. I ordered these pillows for my new sectional couch, and I am not too pleased with the decision. The fabric feels like a boucle if I know anything about fabric, and the leather strips are tasteful. However, they pick up EVERY piece of ANYTHING that can attach itself to the fabric. First use and they are full of lint. These are NOT recommended for any pet that sheds, period!. They are dust bunny magnets. It’s unfortunate, because I like the size, color and design of these covers, but the fabric is a no go for me. Overall, I can only afford 2 stars for these covers. I had no idea there were so many amazing ways that can change the look and feel of your home decor, just by slipping a different cover on a pillow! I have found fall, floral, and Christmas holiday covers, and now I have found these really texturally interesting covers that look great all the time! The material is a rust boucle textile that is very soft, and it has two strips of leather detail that gives it even more interest. The rust color is a kind of heightened neutral, that could go with almost any color combo. These particular covers are 20" x 20" which is great for me because I have two very nice pillows that size that have been dressed up a couple times, and I hope I can keep finding different looks for them. The accent pillows are such an easy way to change things up without spending a ton of money! The quality of these pillow covers is so nice, too.
