I purchased this Vicks Sinus Inhaler for my daughter, who is a singer, and it has been a great addition to her routine—especially during allergy season or when she’s dealing with congestion. The steam relief helps clear her sinuses without medication, which is ideal before rehearsals or performances. It’s easy to use, portable, and gentle on the voice. Many actors and singers look for non-medicated options to support vocal comfort, and this fits that need perfectly. It helps her breathe more freely without drying out her throat. Highly recommend for vocalists, performers, or anyone who relies on their voice and needs quick sinus relief. Read more
The inhaler really helped my niece with her congestion when she had the flu. It worked so well that I ordered it for two other family members. Highly recommend this product. Read more
I didn't see all the negative recent reviews until after I received and used this so I'll add my two cents. I rarely get sick but came down with a sinus infection and ordered this after having it in a wishlist and debating it for months. I like vick's vaporub but hate actually putting it on my skin, so thought this would be a good alternative. Here are my thoughts. Pros: - produces a nice, adequate amount of warm steam that is soothing on a dry throat or stuffy sinuses (people complaining that there isn't enough steam perhaps haven't considered that if there were plumes of visible steam coming out of this thing it'd scald your face off). - heats up relatively quickly and is easy to use - can double as a facial steamer Cons: - it's corded, so not very portable. relatively minor, but still an inconvenience. I hadn't considered this when I purchased. - the unit gets pretty hot while running (nitpicky, but you'd want to be careful when a child is using it so they hold it in the right spot) - the vapo pads are advertised to last up to 8 hours in a vick's humidifier but there is no way to keep them from drying out between uses of the vaporizer to get the same longevity out of them. It'd be nice if they came in a small, resealable pouch, especially considering how pricey they are Other observations: - a few reviews I saw mentioned not being able to get the mouth piece back on in subsequent uses. I suspect this may be because they removed it while it was still warm, and because it's a soft plastic, it shrunk a bit as it cooled. Because of this, I have refrained from removing the mask portion until the unit has cooled, just in case. - I waited until this went on sale at $30 to scoop it up. It seems to get discounted fairly regularly, with $36 being the most common discounted price I saw while I had this on my wishlist. I still think that's a bit pricey for what it is, but as far as I can tell, it's the cheapest option for products in this class. If you want to save money and are ok not having warmth and moisture, the VapoInhaler will get you similar results at a fraction of the price. Read more
I’ve been using the Vicks Sinus Inhaler on and off and overall it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The menthol scent is strong but familiar, and it gives almost instant relief when my nose feels clogged or pressure starts building. I like how small and discreet it is. Easy to toss in my purse and use on the go without any mess. This isn’t a long-term fix. The relief is temporary, so if you’re dealing with a full-blown sinus infection or heavy congestion, you’ll probably need something stronger. Also, the menthol can feel intense at first if you’re sensitive to strong smells. For quick, no-meds-needed relief and a refreshing “clear head” moment, it’s reliable. I wouldn’t rely on it alone, but it’s definitely handy to have around, especially during allergy season or travel days. Read more
This thing really works. I’m using it every morning. I live in central Texas which I’m pretty sure must be the cedar capital of the US! This steam inhaler really puts out the steam (on the high setting) and comforts my nasal passages. I find I’m able to breathe easier after using. Warning: Mucus talk ahead… I use a Neil Med sinus spray before the steam to cleanse my nose. I feel like it allows the steam to reach actual skin and not just mucus. Keep a tissue (or 3) handy to blow your nose as your sinuses start clearing. Everyone is different, but this thing really works for me! Read more
