Looks like just the ticket for my wife at a decent price. She had an issue with the clip-on sunshades. Measured her glasses carefully and looked at the sprs on these and they fit perfectly. I was thourouly impressed with the packaging, (which arrived in a padded bag). Well packaged, a nice bag to keep them in and a microfiber cleaning cloth. As someone with astigmatism I've had to wear glasses my entire life, and as anybody who wears glasses knows, getting a pair of sunglasses which are comfortable as well as functional can be a challenging process of trial and error in which you can realistically end up with a junk drawer full of failures in the quest for a good pair of sunglasses to fit your everyday eyeglasses. My solution has been to simply pay extra for transitions lenses at the optometrist whenever I get a new prescription, but that obviously isn't an ideal solution because it can be expensive and not all eye insurance plans will cover it. Furthermore, ordinary eyeglasses seldom provide the necessary coverage to effectively double as sunglasses, so you're stuck with particular styles of frames in order to have one that looks good and works well as dual purpose glasses. Despite having a decent pair of transitions lenses in a pair of Aviator frames which generally suffices, there were times throughout the year in which I was still squinting from the light shining down from above or reflecting off of the snow at an angle my lenses couldn't cover. So when I saw these were available, I quickly decided to order two pairs in different styles to try out, in hopes that at least one of them would be good enough to wear on particularly bright days. I'm pleased to say that I am satisfied so far with the results. Often times these sunglasses which are meant to slip over a pair of everyday prescription eyeglasses can be uncomfortable, with the earpieces being either too loose so they're slipping down constantly, dragging your eyeglasses with them, or they're too tight and end up hurting your ears after having them on for just a short while. Fortunately, such is not the case with these, at least now when combined with my current prescription frames. (Your Milage May Vary) They're tight enough to remain securely in place without pinching down on my ears. Plus, while they do a good job at blocking out the sun, the lenses aren't so darkly tinted/shaded that you cannot see indoors. I'm actually wearing them right now as I type this, and I can see the screen just fine. Okay, so they work well enough, but how do they look? After all, that isn't too helpful if they look ridiculous, right? Well, I dunno how much I can say about that because I'm honestly not very fashionably inclined, but I think they look good for what they are. I've had sunglasses like these before, and some of them were horribly ugly. They were big, bulky, projecting so far off the face that they looked more like goggles than glasses. These aren't so bad. They still are obviously bigger than ordinary sunglasses, but they're not nearly as bulky as other pairs I've had in the past, yet offering a better amount of coverage than my ordinary lenses alone. In a pleasant surprise, these glasses come packaged with a microfiber cloth, a microfiber drawstring carry pouch, a plastic clip so that you can keep them clipped into the overhead visor in your car, for instance, and a little test card so that you can confirm they're properly polarized. Overall, I quite like these glasses, although out of the two pairs that I got, I definitely prefer the ones that are solid black to the blue ones with their champagne tinted lenses. Although the blue pair looks cooler, I just like typical grey-tinted lenses on the black pair more. On a side note, I wish that they fit closer to the face in order to provide better coverage. Granted, some folks don't like glasses touching their face because they are less comfortable that way, so maybe I'd feel differently if they were and would otherwise be complaining about them pinching my ears right now, but that's my impression of them.
