I was having issues finding a good gaming monitor. After pixel issues with other brands and bad IPS glow with an IPS panel and not liking curve monitors I found the one and its this viewsonic monitor. Colors are great for TN panel. You get all the TN panel perks such as fast response times. Gamers this is rated one of the best monitors from rtings for input lag. Only downside is viewing angles which plague all TN panels but I sit infront of my monitor 99% of the time. Im giving it a 5 but its more like a 4.75 cause the bezel is big, weights alot, and OSD controls are little hard to use but they are all minor things. Picture and performance is great thats what matters most. Had to downgrade this to 3stars. After using it for a week I noticed the panel had very bad backlight clouding. I've had my two setup as a dual monitor config for over a year now and I couldn't be more satisfied. They are used for both work and for gaming. Excellent refresh rate, resolution, aesthetics and I/O port access. Even the built in speakers arnt bad.............for the price. Yes, there are better monitors available and yes there are less expensive alternatives (i.e. ASUS VG278QR) but the price point for the quality is well worth it. Bought this, not knowing if it would be compatible with my Nvidia GPU. Every game and benchmark I have played/used, has not been tear or stuttering. Screen seems to look pretty good and I did have to mess with some of the colors to get them to look right to me. I am using this next to an, Acer Predator XB271HK 27" 4K G-Sync monitor, and other than the resolution difference, the image is very clear and crisp. Have not noticed any dead/stuck pixels, yet. I am very happy with this monitor and will probably purchase another one for my roommates computer. Read more

I purchased 2 of the refurbished monitors from Viewsonic as the seller for home use. The "boxes" they were shipped in were not original boxes. I guess I can understand that, but what I can't understand was the absolute lack of protection these replacement boxes offered. After unboxing and easy assembly, one of the units had a stand that was defective. The monitor sank down to lowest level. It would not stay in any raised position. I set it aside and started an RMA process directly with Viewsonic. They were the manufacturer and seller. I got a great price and didn't want to simply return to Amazon as I had a matched set. After a few emails back and forth, I decided to drop doing the RMA as I decided to get a dual monitor stand to replace both factory stands (the stands actually weren't the same on the refurbs despite being the same model). After getting the new dual monitor stand, I started process of mounting and setup. Finally firing these both up, discovered the monitor that had the defective stand also had a shattered screen. I didn't even bother to turn it in initially because of the defective stand. Here I am, just days outside the return window Amazon provides. I still didn't really want to return it. I had a matched set. I reached out to Viewsonic again and was immediately shot down for "physical damage". I guess I understand that, but they were the seller and shipper. It was their box. They deferred me back to Amazon. Customer service rep was very nice and offered to contact Viewsonic directly. That went nowhere. The offered A-Z service. That also went nowhere. Amazon and Viewsonic pointed their fingers at one another but neither seemed to want to make any exceptions given the circumstances. I didn't break the monitor. I gout caught up in what I thought was the only problem in the stand that kept me from realizing the bigger issue of a broken panel. I know you're thinking I was foolish for not checking it sooner. I agree. Lesson learned. But I also learned Amazon A-Z is worthless. I would have expected them to step in and consider the situation and make things right, but that didn't happen. I love my new monitor. I’ve never had something this big before. So far I am super happy with everything. I’ve only had it for a couple of days. I’m still trying out all my games. Messing with settings. Besides that got here super fast, had all the peaches I needed. I like the headset holder in the back. I like how easy it was to maneuver around the menu on screen. Overall happy with the monitor. Still things I want to try out. If anything comes up I’ll update review, otherwise this is a nice buy. Read more
