Material is soft and the dress is SO cozy and comfy you could sleep in it. I have a very large bust, and the seam perfectly sits just under to emphasize that and my small rib cage while hiding my larger stomach. Pockets sit flat so they aren’t noticeable and don’t make your hips look sloppy. You can easily add some funky jewelry and wear it with combat boots or dress it up with fancy jewelry and classy shoes. The fabric is midweight, ideal for about 60-70 degrees, and tights won’t be super visible and would warm it up on colder days so it’s more versatile. 5’3 and this is floor length, so if you’re even a tiny bit shorter, skip it. I am LDS and wanted something comfortable as a temple worker that I can wear to the temple on a weekly basis. This dress exceeded my expectations. 1. I ordered a large (though I probably could have gotten away with a medium). I have long arms and legs and the dress goes down to my ankles and wrists (which I like), but this may be a concern for shorter women. 2. I wanted a dress that did not wrinkle easy and this did not disappoint. I was worried at first, but after trial an error I perfected it. If you are like me you fold it up and put it in a bag. You can still do this. Just make sure it is dry completely, then take it out of the dryer immediately and fold it up. It is a bit wrinkly right when you put it on, but no worries, it smooths out after about 20 min. 3. Another concern I had is…is it modest or see-through? The fabric is thick and weighty, but soft and not too heavy. It is not cheap. It is NOT see-though as many reviewer have said, but I do wear a long slip with it (I am wearing a full slip in the picture provided). 4. The only concern I had was that the neckline came a little low for my taste (it comes just above the slip line), but that has not been an issue. I bought a cute lacy tunic to cover my concerns with the neck, my back fat and to dress it up a bit. 5. On that note…since the fabric IS stretchy, it does show some curves, but is flattering and does a good job hiding them because it is well made and thick enough. Because of the empire waist, the style is such that it is flattering to women that carry their weight in their belly (like me). 6. I can attest to how well made this dress is. I have washed it 5 times now (pictured here) and it is still white at can be, and fits just as nicely. 7. This is a very comfortable dress I've had TONS of compliments and I highly recommend purchasing it. My daughter left on a mission to Pittsburgh and they fold up so small and are so convenient that I am planning on purchasing more because there are so many pretty colors and such an amazing price! UPDATED! I wore this to the temple and I’m happy with it. I did still wear a slip because I already have one and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be a little cold. I’m usually not because my other dress was heavier weight fabric. I’ll probably buy a really lightweight cardigan since my upper arms were a little bit cold but that is usual for me. It does come out of the package wrinkled, but I washed it on delicate and hung it up to dry. The wrinkles come out of it pretty easily after taking it out of your bag. I bought this because I needed a new temple dress & it had good reviews. I was nervous when I opened the packaging, but I tried it on right away and I’m really happy with it. Medium weight fabric. Nice deep pockets, modest neckline, and the gathering around the waist is not restricting. I’m 5’2” with a short torso and a size 8. I bought an xl because I wanted a little more room in the torso & waist for comfort. It’s great! It pools around my feet by a couple inches when I’m barefoot, but it’s not a problem. I ordered the Brown Floral Black print in small. I am 5'3", 108 lbs., 36/29/35 and it fits well - need heels, but that's okay for me. If you are long-waisted, it might not work as it is a very short empire waist. I am short-waisted, so it worked on me. The print is very nice and vibrant. The material is summer weight, not see through. Pockets are a nice addition. I'm not sure how well it will wash. Haven't tried that yet. Did have to iron it before I wore it. Overall, pleased so far. I bought this dress because I was dressing up as Roz (from Monsters Inc) for Halloween and we’d had an unexpected cold snap - my original outfit wouldn’t work. I needed a full length maxi with long sleeve in a plus size and something slug colored. I’m not saying this dress is slug colored - it was just the best color I could find to be Roz when all the other requirements were met. I only mention this because my picture isn’t going to make you think “That’s a great dress!”. But I’m here to say it is. For the price I was expecting a slick, thin, polyester material that was basically see through - this was more a thick jersey that wasn’t see through at all. It was long enough - I’m 5’7” and have a big butt and big boobs - dresses that look long enough on a hanger generally cut me off in that horrible place right above the ankles. This dress went to the floor - even over my butt and boobs. The sleeves were long enough too - I have long arms for my height and the sleeves went to the wrists. But what I really loved was the cut - it’s that style that makes every woman look good. Gives you a waist. Makes your boobs look good without hanging out everywhere - it’s a flattering, modest dress. Do you have any idea how difficult that is to find these days?!? And it has POCKETS. Goo, deep pockets that are placed where you expect to find them and don’t pull the dress weird if you use them. The dress hangs well and doesn’t pinch. I liked it so much, I came to buy it again, but this time in a color more flattering to my skin tone. I intentionally bought a color that wouldn’t work with my coloring for my costume. After looking at myself in a full length mirror at the end of the day, I decided I needed to buy one in a better color for me. I wore it all day and it wasn’t wrinkled and it was still comfortable.
