I recently purchased this pair of boots in Mahagony. The leather feels very nice. It has a smooth finish and is flexible enough to make the boots very comfortable. The mahagony color is a deep, rich shade that will look great with lots of fall outfits. I'm 5'4" and the height of the boot is perfect for me, hitting just below the knee. The zipper is sturdy and well hidden so it doesn't detract from the sleek look of the boot. The foot bed and heel height are very comfortable. I'm looking forward to wearing this pair of boots a lot. These are very nice boots. The leather is supple and a deep shade of brown. There are many luxury details, including the Vince Camuto crest on the sole and finely done stitching throughout. Even the packaging felt luxurious. I love the shape of these boots, including the extra width in the calf, and the shape of the footbed. I love that tapered toe. All this being said, however, these boots are GIGANTIC. Usually I wear a size 8, but I size up to 8.5 in a boot, so I expect a little wiggle room around the toe (it's worth the trade to make sure it fits my calves and high arches/insteps). The 8.5 in these boots is GIGANTIC. There is easily over an inch of room at my toe, and a big gap all around my calves. Honestly these are the biggest 8.5 boots I've ever tried on—I assume they fit more like a 9.5. I doubt even the 8s would have fit me, if these are the baseline. Sadly there's no way I will be able to wear these boots. I would highly recommend sizing down. Read more
