My calves are about 17.9 inches. I bought the wide calf based on the size chart. The wide calf version, they zipped up but it was very tight. I could have worn them and stretched them out, but I didn't want to wait to stretch them out. But ended up having to return the wide calf version and bought the extra wide calf instead. These fit perfectly out of the box. The color is GORGEOUS and so fall-coded! I walked around in them a bit, and they stretched out, which is about a centimeter of extra space than before, but I don't mind. I've been eying these for so long, and they are so nice! Read more

These fit perfect and are definitely wide calf. My only complaint is the color, I expected and more deep reddish tone but looks more brown to me. I’m keeping them tho because the fit is nice and I can get over the color Read more

I gave this shoe two stars because the leather is beautiful, but the material of the block heel is terrible. I wore these boots for only a few hours before the heel started to peel. I do take commute to work via train/walking, so maybe if you drive these would work. Disappointed at the value for the cost. Read more
