I have a dog that isn't necessarily an obsessives chewer but she has a strong bite and will go through a large antler in less than a week. As a result we go through toys kind of quick. When I saw these I was excited to try them out. Unfortunately they aren't working for us. When I first opened the packaging there was a strong chemical smell, I washed them and then aired them out and eventually it went away. When we started to play fetch with them they were constantly getting stuck on my dog's teeth. After trying to get it off herself she would eventually come over to me and I would have to get it off her teeth. Thankfully my kids enjoy using them to play baseball and because of how dense and bouncy the foam is they are able to hit them further than their other balls and even if it hits them or our house it hasn't hurt them or caused damage. I'm always looking for different toys for my dog-whether it be a different material/texture etc. These balls are bouncy, with some having little nubs all over for an interesting texture and more unpredictable bounce pattern. The material feels like a cross between rubber and cork (not sure what the actual material is), which my dog seemed intrigued by. He's a 10 year old, 70 lb cattle dog mix, so I'm happy with any toy that gets him interested enough to play some fetch and get some exercise.
