This is definitely a very classy chandelier. This is a chandelier you would want in your dining room. It may also work in other rooms, which is where I would put it. I would put it in the dining room. The manufacturer of this product has gone to great lengths to explain the steps that he has taken to create. This isn’t just called paint. This is actually gold electroplated onto the metal three times, so there are actually three layers of gold on this light fixture. It’s not going to wear off and look cheap. It has milk, white glass globes, and the Sputnik effect. It appears to be flying through space with round balls. This adjustable chandelier can be adjusted to a height of 24 to 60 inches. It has a 34-inch chain so you can quickly adjust the hanging height. It uses 640 W G9 base dimmable lightbulbs neither the dimmer or the bulbs are included and I always recommend that when you go to buy the bulbs, the G9 bulbs for this fixture that you buy the dimmer at the same time and get a guarantee from where you buy it that the dimmer switch will work well with the lights bulbs that they have sold you. 640 W lightbulbs are 240 W of LED power, which is almost enough to light up a parking lot if they were turned on full; therefore, a switch would definitely be required. I have a 40 W LED ceiling light in my kitchen, and it’s almost too bright for a 15 x 15 kitchen. This light gives very good value for the money. The height of this chandelier must be installed at least 2 feet and no more than 5 feet below the ceiling. This 5-foot would only be necessary if you had a very tall or vaulted ceiling and were installing this fixture as well. The picture also shows a canopy that installs readily on a slanted ceiling with no effect on the fixture's use. Installation is relatively easy, but I've been with all electrical installations. You should do what the electricians do. First, locate the circuit breaker control panel box in your home. The circuit breaker control panel box is normally located in the basement of your home. In some homes, the circuit breaker control panel box is located in the garage, particularly if the house does not have a basement. Once you’ve located the circuit breaker control panel, you should ascertain which circuit controls the junction box that you’re gonna install this beautiful chandelier in. Once you're certain you’ve located the correct circuit breaker, use a voltage meter or electrical testing device to test each and every wire in that junction box to make certain none of them are still energized. And of course, you do this testing while the local power switch at that junction box is on, or when a dimmer is fully on. When you open the box, you’ll see that it has a canopy that is connected to decorative nuts to an install plate. Unscrew the decorative nuts, and placed them in your pocket, and remove the installation plate. I’m assuming you determined the correct height and adjusted the chain to the required length, and that the chain is now connected to the base of the canopy. If you have not done those things, do them now before you proceed with further installation work. Now that the junction boxes is safe to work with the install plate that you just removed and place the three wires from the house, Service side, which are black, white and green and instruct them through the hole in the center of the installed plate making certain that you have removed the last half centimeter of insulation from the tip of each of those wires they are 14 gauge wires that are very heavy and somewhat cumbersome to work with. Next, take the number eight machine screws and connect the install plate tightly into the junction box, making certain the two screws that connect to the canopy or facing away from the junction box, and the screws are fully screwed in and fully engaged before you do this. Next, take the black wire from the house, service side, and place it adjacent to the black wire from the fixture with the tips, pointing in the same direction and directly adjacent to the cover both tips of the wires that have the insulation removed with a wire lock nut and rotate the wire lock nut clockwise until a firm mechanical electrical connection has been established. Do the same with the white and green wires. The green wire may be connecting to a bare copper wire coming from the fixture. After you’ve done this, push all of the wires and lock nuts back inside the junction box. Take the canopy, place it over the two screws protruding from the install plate, and put the nuts you have stored in your pocket on the extended portion of those screws. Tighten them fully. At this point, you can start attaching the globes and lightbulbs to the chandelier. First, install the E9 lightbulbs you purchased into the chandelier's sockets, then attach the globes to the globe holders per the manufacturer's instructions and tighten them fully. At this point, your installation is complete. You can turn on the local switch on the circuit breaker control panel, then test your light with the dimmer switch, which I hope you require. This is a beautiful chandelier that provides a tremendous amount of light, gives you good value for the money you’ve spent, and is extremely functional.
