VIPARSPECTRA P700 Grow Light 70 Watt Dimmable Full Spectrum Plant Light LED Grow Lights for Indoor Plants Seed

Unlike most other reviewers here, I didn't buy these to use in a tent. I wanted good quality led panels for use on a wire rack system for seed starting. I landed on these because they were the only-well reviewed panel I could find which came in the necessary dimensions. I purchased the largest size (11" x 39.4") because it would fit between the upright legs of my wire rack and extend slightly beyond the length of each 3 foot shelf. I purchsed 3. After seed starting I will use these for a planned indoor greenhouse cabinet build that will house my anthurium collection. The build quality of these is excellent and the mechanical output adjustment works well. I started some Jerusalem Artichoke and Apios tubers early this season. I had planned to store them until spring but it became obvious that they were not going to survive until then if I didn't get them planted (They were shriveling and many had become soft with areas of decay). They've been planted in nursery pots about 2 weeks now and the largest plants are already about 6 inches tall. They're going to be blooming by the time they can be planted outdoors at this rate! I've just started my first early seedlings (snapdragons) and will update how well they work for that purpose at a later time. They do get warm, but not so hot that they burn if touched. 3 panels in my 9' x 12' mudroom keep the space warm enough that I won't need heat mats. The most important things to understand .. with artificial lighting is the language .. this viparspectra p2000.. light is far beyond the capabilities it's limited to 2x4x5 grow tent is what it's claimed to light up correctly efficiently .. u can take it higher I will say this much if the lights pivoted it's would light up a 4x4x6 no problems it puts off plenty of light I see no reason to even run it a 50 percent at any stage I'm a 2x4x5.. period and it will flower and fruit just the same this is a awesome full spectrum light plenty of bang for the buck .. and it deisapates heat extremely well .. all u need is a 6 inch fan blowing down on the light while it's running and a intake fan and filter and exhaust .. but if ur on a budget them inline fans are a waste of money when all. i'm running it on a smart plug (16 on/8 off), and it provides ample light for my houseplants (500 ppfd about 10 -12" distance at 50% power - measured with photone app) without any adverse effects. i could probably raise it to 75%, but my plants seem quite happy right now. i've mostly used barrina t5s for my plants and they've worked pretty well, but this is a big step up. i also have a mars hydro ts1000 and this p700 is giving it some pretty good competition. also, viparspectra customer service was real cool in answering some questions i had prior to purchasing, which motivated me to pick this up. will probably get another one of these in the very near future. pros: bright af w/ 4 position dimmable brightness (best feature) included accessories (hooks, pulleys) fairly light low heat (like, not hot at all) quality housing/build cons: no daisy chain (totally fine for my needs though) Read more

These lights work exactly like they're supposed to. I've never had any problem. They are the only lights I use for my grow tent. The only problem I had was the bundle came with a set of heavy duty hangers for an extra $8 that I don't need. The light comes with the hangers. I tried to send the hangers back but will only get a $2.21 refund. Mt old man said to just keep it. This sucks! Now I'll have one more unusable item laying around. Read more
