I’ve been giving these Virbac C.E.T. VEGGIEDENT Zen chews to my Doberman for a while now, and I’m really happy with the results. First of all, he absolutely loves them — no hesitation at all, which is a big plus because he can be picky with dental treats. The chews keep him busy for a good amount of time, and I’ve noticed a visible improvement in his breath and overall dental cleanliness. Plaque buildup has been reduced, and his teeth look cleaner between vet visits. I also like that these are designed specifically for dental care rather than just being another snack. Another thing I appreciate is the calming “Zen” aspect. I usually give one in the evening, and it seems to help him settle down nicely. No stomach issues or adverse reactions so far. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Vet recommended this brand. I’ve used their water vetradent and saw these as well. The water helped keep their teeth pearly white. Brushing your teeth with a tooth brush and paste (this brand has paste that I use as well) will definitely work better than any treat will because it’s the brushing motion that helps control tartar and plaque. Regardless, these are nice and do seem to help out my pups teeth a lot. I have 3 dogs and all 3 will take this treat which is very nice considering the senior is picky. I like this zen formula, I’d also consider getting the hip and joint, I just picked whichever one would come sooner. None of the dogs has received diarrhea from this product like others had mentioned, but 2 are strays that came from outside so I’ve sure they’ve had worst.
