If you want to feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud, you need this mattress cover. Our mattress is on the older side, good but not quite ready for replacement—but not as plush as it once was. This cover should extend its life because it restored the comfort factor. We had one very nice bamboo cover, and when it wore out, we tried to get the same one from the same store. The second one was never as good, and never stayed on as it should. This new one from Amazon is absolutely perfect. The pocket is very sturdy and quite deep, which is essential for a thick mattress. The elastic around the edge is very nice and relatively wide, and it lays flat. We had bought some straps to anchor it, but they were not necessary. It’s plush right out of the bag and didn’t have any type of unpleasant or chemical smell. There might be a fancier mattress cover, and certainly there are more expensive ones and there are cheaper ones—but at this moderate price point, I don’t think you would do better than with this one. The positives: very fluffy and comfortable to sleep on. The negatives: 1) too fluffy, queen size, to fit in a home washing machine or dryer. This means I have to wash it in a local laundromat or give it to my cleaners to wash (expensive). 2) I don't find this mattress pad cooling. I actually find it warmer to sleep on than my previous mattress pad. To be comfortable, I have to lower the temperature in my bedroom by 5° below the temperature I was using before. Read more
written after one night. got a very firm mattress with good springs and not much padding, as the padding is what will wear out first and I figured i'd buy a topper. Chose this and it seems to have a dense loft that is super comfy. Makes the bed side-sleep friendly. I wash everything new (and used) that I wear/sleep on before use. I live in a city apartment with a laundry room , bigger machines than most home ones. The full size barely fit in them. this is good as it shows how substantial it is . isn't a smell so perhaps it doesn't need a wash. But maybe do something to avoid having to wash it at all like cover with something thinner, or go to a laundromat with giant machines. great quality- not wimpy Read more

This mattress topper pad is absolutely perfect. It arrived with barely any odor. I'm very sensitive to synthetic chemicals, so I still aired it out and laundered it. I've had no respiratory reaction whatsoever. It is very soft and comforting. It looks lumpy on the bed, but in a pretty way. However, the quilted "lumps" actually cradle the body. I hope I don't offend anyone but I get tired of the phrase "like sleeping on a cloud!" No, I don't feel that way and how would anyone know what it feels like? Three years ago I bought a new hybrid mattress (a Brooklyn Bedding Titan) that's meant for heavy people. Now I've recently lost 35 lbs. and the pressure points on my hips and shoulders kept me awake all night. I first tried a 2 inch soft latex topper and that didn't help. So I added this copper mattress topper on top of the latex. It was good for a week or so but then it seemed to become flatter and more lumpy. Now I need to find a large box to return it. Read more
