FINALLY. I have ordered and returned at LEAST 20 pairs of boots over the past year, trying to replace a pair that wore out. I did not want boots that had sock material. I did not want a pointed toe. I did not want an ankle-spraining high heel. I did not want suede or fake suede. I did not want a boot that came up too much onto my knee cap. (I am 5'2.) And most of all, I did NOT want a gap on my calves, which are slim (12-inch circumference). I wanted a boot that tapered in, femininely, at the ankle, and hugged my calf. I am shocked that, after trying some of the fanciest and most expensive brands, these fit the best, look the best, feel the best, and cost the least. They seem well made and have a substantial base that should help my weak ankles from turning. I am overjoyed that I did not have to resort to a boring no-heel flat boot. I usually wear 7, but I may decide to exchange this 7 for a 6.5, as the 7 seems about an inch longer than I need. But one size or another, these are keepers. Sufficiently witchy, perfectly gothy. I love everything about these boots! When you open the box, the boots are meticulously wrapped in colored paper and a neatly tied ribbon holds it in place. Inside is an envelope with a message from the company, thanking you for your purchase and also included is an adorable little keychain of a little duck wearing a yellow hat and sweater. Then the boots! Upon opening the box, you get a whiff of the smell of leather. The leather is soft and smooth. The shoes are made beautifully and the soles are durable with lots of traction, so they would be great to wear on multiple surfaces. The sizing is spot on. The top part of the boot is stretchy, making it easy to get on and off. I love everything about these boots! They would look great with so many different outfits. I really wasn’t sure if I liked these boots, and I had planned to order a different pair. When I saw that I ordered this by mistake I decided to wait for them to arrive to see if I liked them. I liked the squared off toe and the low heel. I love that the wide toe box and the low heal make them comfortable. No toes squished into uncomfortable positions and no pressure from heals. The fit is good and is roomy enough to wear thick socks. They are also roomy enough to wear an orthotic or arch support if desired. These are cute enough to wear with a skirt, and simple enough to pair with jeans. I have average calves and the boot shaft is wider than I would prefer. I wish the back half of the shaft were elastic for a slimmer fit. At least it leaves room for me to wear with very thick socks which will add warmth. The boot shaft isn’t lined and doesn’t offer much warmth. I wasn’t planning to keep these boots, but the positives outweigh the negatives. I like the styling and comfort. I just wish they had a more supportive insole and a slimmer shaft. Read more

I have very slim legs and every “narrow calf” boot has always made me look like Captain Morgan. These ones actually hug my calf and look the way they’re supposed to. I’ve spent $100s on boots that fall apart, so figured why not buy cheap ones and hope for the best.
