VIVO Behind Monitor VESA Mount Designed for Mac mini 2010 to 2023 Models Desk Clamp Option Black Mount-MINI1

EDIT: I jammed a dozen washers behind the mount plate and made it work. HP's proprietary mount was the fault, not this product. It's actually very solid, holds the mac mini and a heavy monitor on a tv stand and even includes a desk mount. Original Review: Looks solid, but was not able to successfully install it because HP’s VESA mounts are not flush with the back of the monitor. I have a much smaller VESA plate that mounts to a tv stand that fits in the rear of my HP monitor, but as you can see in the photos I’ve included, the Mac mini mount will not sit flush because it covers more than the mini VESA area and includes an extension which I’m sure is nice if your monitor or tv can use the extra screws to secure it. But it completely prevents me from installing this on my monitor. Read more

Needed to mount Mac mini to the VESA arm on my exercise bike, connected to a small HDMI tv that also serves as a pretty good computer monitor. Turns out this works very well, computer is solidly supported on the VIVO mount which in turn mounts to both the bike's media arm and also to the TV in one compact package. The only fiddling I had to do was to reverse the two mount plates so the larger plate was mounted to the bike media arm and the smaller plate mounted to the back of the TV. No issues with reversing the two mount plates. Very happy with the product. Read more

I use this mount both at home and in the office. Overall, it does its job and holds the device securely once installed. The build quality is okay, and the mount itself feels stable. However, the main issue is the desk clamp. The clamp handle does not grip the desk as well as it should, and over time it can loosen. Because of that, it doesn’t feel fully reliable, especially if you move the desk or adjust things often. In general, it works, but the clamp design could be much better. Used behind a 24" 4k display on a gas strut arm setup with no deformation or bounce issues. Takes getting used to with the offset distance you may find with some applications, in my case I have limited room behind my desk and this product shifted my display closer to me by around 2" overall and while this is not a problem for me it may become a burden on someone else's setup. The hardware can be a bit funny to work with, I suggest once the main casing is mounted to the monitor that you consider assembling the back plate on all 4 corners finger tight before final tightening, helps everything line up a lot easier. This is a solid mount against the back on monitor. Very easy to install and does the job holding my Mac Mini I would have given 5 stars but... 1. it's little heavy causing my monitor mount (which also is made by ViVo) to slipping and causing my monitor to slowly facing downward over time. You have to really tighten the bolt at the connector joint. 2. the only cushion is only one the top side from which you slide the Mac Mini into. BE WARNED -> The bottom part of Mac Mini will be scratched even if you just slide it in only one time. Imagine if you have to do it multiple times. This is why I deducted 1 star. as advertised. I work from home and use a wall mount for my computer monitor. This allows me to mount my M1 Mac Mini behind between the wall mount and the monitor. Working well so far. would buy this product again if I needed another one. Read more
