This nail trimmer set worked perfectly for my aging dog, whose nails were getting too long because he wasn't walking as much. The nail grinder worked very well and was quiet enough that it did not stress my dog out when I used it on him. His quicks were close to the edge of his nails, so each day I would spend about a minute taking a very small amount off each nail until the quick retreated. Each session, we were able to use the grinder easily, and eventually, we were able to get his nails down to a safe level. The battery life is really good, and I do not recall recharging the device over several months I used it. I stated 50/50 because my dog is terrified of getting her claws clipped. The file works well but is a tad loud. Thankfully, my dog did not mind the grinder. The slippers on the other hand are a totally different story. You would think my dog was being brutally attacked when we clip her claws lol. I deducted one star because of the noise. Other than that, this set works nice and the quality isn't too bad. Give it a whirl. I have a Bochi (Boston Terrier / Chihuahua mix) you would think she was a pittbull, but tiny as hell. I purchased this dog nail grooming set for my small dog. Overall, the set looks decent, but unfortunately it did not fully meet my expectations. The main issue is that the scissors are quite large. For a small dog, they feel bulky and not very comfortable to use. Because of the size, my dog gets nervous when I try to trim her nails with the scissors. This may work better for medium or larger dogs, but for small dogs or nervous pets, it’s not the easiest or most stress-free option.
