This thing has a beast of a picture. The blacks are unlike anything I have ever seen, and the colors are quite vibrant. However, the smart features are not quite on par with a lot of top brands (but casting is nice). Pair this with something like an Amazon Fire Cube, and you have one heck of an awesome setup, though. Android TV would be better, but the app selection is pretty good. Disney+ was just added. No issues ever with streaming on my wifi AC network. All the streaming apps work well. 4K HRD, DD Vision work great. The remote control is very nice. Display colors are astounding, though a bit saturated. Blacks are pure black when viewed at most angles. If you stand below or way off to the side, you can see the back-lighting, but you normally will never see it. Everything about this tv is great with some minor annoyances. 1. Just like most vizio tv's, it failed the firmware update right out of the box. It worked just fine after a power cycle, however. 2. It takes a long time for the tv to turn on. 3. I have tried 2 brand new receivers from denon and sony and I can not get cec, arc, earc to do anything. It once connected with ARC to my eARC capable denon for all of about 5min, then it quit working. It's not my cables, so it must be a flaw in the tv's firmware. I have never seen it say anything other than "no cec devices found" no matter what remedy I try. 4. Short power cord. If you can find one of these, get it before it's gone. Very disappointed with the tv. The picture is not as sharp as the reviews claim. The smart TV is not so smart. Apps cannot be downloaded. The remote is not totally compatible with fios. I shut the TV off and it goes back on by itself. I waited a month from Amazon installation to be sure of my opinion and when I tried to return it I found i was 2 days late and I'm stuck. We are extremely displeased with the TV. We are faithful VIZIO owners and have 5 TVs in our home. I have numerous complaints about this TV. 1. TV speakers do not put out enough sound to match TV size. 2. The startup takes WAY too long. Twice as long (15-20 seconds) than any of our other TVs. 3. The TV randomly cycles off then back on in the middle of watching a program. 4. When turning the TV off, on multiple occasions, the TV displays a light on the screen and won't “turn off” forcing me to unplug it. 5. The Disney + app on the TV crashes every time seconds into a program. This TV is up to date on SW patches. The operating system and coding need serious revision! Read more

I bought this TV about a year ago to replace a much older Samsung TV and several HDMI sources, including Apple TV, Bluray player etc. My hope was to have one slim wall-mount TV with good image quality, slim edges and little depth to replace not only the TV but also the cables and extra boxes. I read reviews about the TV, which already complained about the slow Smart TV features, but thought this would not matter so much. I thougt, I could wait a few seconds to watch an hour long show... But a year smarter, I can only say: Be aware, this is way worse than you think! First, the Smart TV software is really slow. We are not talking a few milliseconds here. No, we are talking minutes until you are able to watch TV, and multiple seconds until something happens when interacting with the interface. This is paired with a remote, where the main buttons only sometimes work (despite a reassuring click). So you have to press extra cautious and defined, if you want to have any meaningful interaction. And be ware, that rushing through this punishes you with many seconds and minutes of response time and nonesense reactions of the Smart TV OS. Another really bad problem is the Wifi reception. Despite Mesh, every other device working well in the area, this TV regularly does not connect at all or loses internet connection during playing. Rarely is it possible to watch a whole movie without the need to restart the TV, or at least the movie. The picture quality is excellent, and I would say that if you do not plan to use Wifi Connectivity, Smart TV and remote at all, this may be a good purchase. I assume that if you connect this to an Apple TV or similar, use a wired internet connection and a different universal remote, this may eventually work. But this somehow forefeits the purpose of a Smart TV, doesn't it? I strongly advise against buying, until you are extra sure that you only want a good picture and do not care or do not need Wifi/Smart TV/remote. Read more

Saw this TV on display at Costco, couldnt beleive it was not OLED while walking by it, best picture I have seen on any TV that is non OLED, colors are super bright, blacks are the blackest, all the other features they throw in are just extra bells and whistles like air play 2, chromecast, alexa, HDR 10, HLG, Dolby Vision, the list goes on.
