OK, I've had this about 3 months now, and while I like the overall features, my backlight stays on all the time and it eats through batteries. I'm not sure if this is a feature, if my clock is defective, or if I'm not smart enough to figure out how to turn the backlight off. If not for this issue I'd rate this clock at 4-5 stars. Read more

I like the time and date functions of this clock. It is unusual in that it includes the year which is always important around the first of January. I also like the fact that the user can select either the 12- or 24-hour format and, in theory, one can select temperature expressed as degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. This is where an apparent problem arises – the thermometer and hygrometer do not appear to be working (i.e., neither temperature nor humidity, respectively, are indicated). The manual does not seem to address this. I thought it might take some time for the sensors to equilibrate but after more than 24 hours, neither temperature nor humidity is displayed. PROS • This small clock shows the time (12- or 24-hour format), date (including year), day, and, in theory, room temperature and humidity (refer to CONS). • For a small clock, it has an easy-to-read LCD (liquid crystal display) screen that lights up temporarily by pressing the top knob. • Very easy to set time and date using the rotary knob on top of the clock. CONS • The thermometer and hygrometer do not appear to be working (i.e., neither temperature nor humidity, respectively, are indicated). • I would have preferred rechargeable batteries or, arguably better yet, dual power options. • When packed for travel, if the top knob is accidentally depressed, the batteries may be depleted. Great little alarm clock with lots of nifty features. My favorite thing about the clock is it is lightly backlit, so you can always read it. It shows time (12 hour or 24 hour), date, day of week, temperature, humidity, and the cute part, comfort level via the happy face. The smile goes away if it is too hot or cold or too humid or dry. Very fun feature. It has a small footprint at just over 3 inches wide and 3.5 inches high. The clock requires 3 AAA batteries which are included. So far the batteries have been in the clock for over 5 months and the clock is working great. The clock also has an option to hang it on a wall and magnets to attach it to a fridge or other metal surface. I have not tested the magnets as I have it sitting on a table. Highly recommended. I ordered this because I mistakenly thought it had an hourly chime in addition to the other features. Although it does NOT have an hourly chime, I still like this clock quite a bit. The clock comes with a long, thorough instruction sheet, which initially seemed a bit overwhelming, but it provided all of the necessary information, and it ended up being a very straightforward set-up. The magnets are plenty strong enough to hang the clock on a refrigerator (or other similar surface), but the clock can also be free standing or hang from a hook. There is a hook (with adhesive backing) provided, and batteries are also provided. The beveling means that the clock tilts a bit backwards to make the face more easily viewable from above. If your desk or other surface is a bit tilted (as mine apparently is in some places), you might need to lean the clock against something else to help it stay upright. I don't see this as a big deal, but your mileage may vary. The thermometer is accurate as per other thermometers I have in my house (within their respective margins of error). I will have to verify the hygrometer reading at some other time, but the reading does pass a general reality check for my house's humidity in wintertime with the central heating running. One thing to note: If you are a sound sleeper who requires special measures to get out of the bed in the morning, the alarm on this clock may not work well for you. It's not terribly loud, and it does turn itself off after some amount of time under 5 minutes (not sure how long exactly). This saves the battery life, but could get you in trouble. Read more

I got this for the thermometer function to keep in our sunroom, which is really cold all winter. But on sunny days it can get warm so I want to know when it's warm enough to open the sliding glass door to the rest of the house and let the warmth come in. Or when it's colder than the rest of the house and I'll close the door. So I depend on a thermometer. The last one I had was always changing to Celsius and was annoying. So I got this one. Pros: Seems accurate. I've had it next to another little thermometer for a few weeks and they're both the same temp. Nice to have it backlit so I can see the temp in the night. Nice to have the date and time too. And to have a timer. Lots of functions. Nice that it came with a little manual. My 11 year old had it set up quickly. Cons: Since the temperature is really the only thing I need (or look for at least 10 times a day), I wish it were bigger. But that's my fault not buying a thermometer with big numbers. This one is so cluttered with numbers it's hard to see what is the date and what is the temp and what is the humidity. My biggest concern is how fast it will go through batteries since it is backlit all the time. I wish it were rechargable. It did come with batteries, so that's nice. Read more
