This is a beautiful light fixture, but we ultimately returned it as it was too large for our space. We were not aware of the spacing needed between the ceiling, the light fixture, and the mirror and with the lights pointing down this would hang over our mirror. Read more

I’m doing a little face lift in my bathroom; fresh paint, new faucet, new light fixture, etc. I chose the brushed chrome with white glass shades/globes..My fixtures and cabinets are white.and the walls are a soft gray. The light fixture comes well packaged with everything you need to hang it (wire nuts, machine screws, mounting bracket, etc.), including a little wrench for one of the assembly steps. There are instructions outlining the steps for assembly and installation, although there is one step that might be kind of vague if you’re not familiar with hanging light fixtures of this type which I’ll explain. I’m of retirement age and I was able to install it myself in about an hour, not including the time to remove the old one. The vague step: There are little nuts than go on the screws which will eventually hold the fixture to the bracket. The directions don’t specifically mention where to use them but make sure you put them on the screws AFTER you put the screws through the back of the bracket and BEFORE you attach the bracket to the junction box. They essentially hold the screws firmly and straight in the bracket which makes it easier to finally attach the fixture to the bracket. One aggravation I had was that there is no little cable to dangle the fixture while you twist on the wire nuts. I will never understand why all light fixtures don’t come with that. It makes things so much safer and easier to install. To hold up a fixture while trying to twist together multiple wires with a wire nut is nearly impossible to do effectively. I used a piece of string looped through the mounting bracket and around the base of the fixture to dangle it while I connected the wires with the wire nuts and wrapped the connections with electrical tape. When I was done, I clipped the string and pulled it out before tightening down the fixture permanently. One step in the directions I disagree with is the step that says to install the shades before connecting the fixture to the wall. I don’t recommend doing that. It just adds more weight and increases the chance of breaking the shades, especially if you have no dangle cable or don’t make on with string, because they are glass and if you had a fumble and dropped the whole thing, it’s over. I waited until the fixture was completely installed and tested before I put up the shades. To me, that’s common sense. The light looks nice but I’m not over-the-moon with it. Perhaps this is because my other fixture was quite ornate and I’m just not used to it and the REALLY white color of the shades puts me off a little. Despite my fixtures and cabinets being white, the white color of the fixtures is much brighter than the picture represented. It kind of makes my cabinets and fixtures look less white and a little bit dull, if that makes any sense. I’m debating whether to re-use the shades from my previous fixture because they match better. Another kind of funny thing happened: I had the shades setting on a cabinet in the hallway while I was installing the light fixture. My son walked by and said they looked exactly like rolls of toilet paper! I laughed but, now that it’s up, I almost can’t NOT see it, so, it’s still under review, as of this writing, whether I will switch them out or not. I removed a star based on the difference in color of the shades represented in the picture and the issues with the instructions and for there being no dangle cable. Read more

So very disappointing. Sadly, anything good about this light fixture begins and ends with the adequate packaging. Product arrived with no damage or breakage. Instructions were adequate, better than most, and you can scan a QR for a video if you have a cell phone (which I do not). I purchased this fixture because I felt the ceramic sockets would be an extra safety feature. The fixture is made in two parts that have to be screwed together with tiny 1/8" screws, and then a bracket is fitted over the join and screwed to the bar for reinforcement. This little bracket is a very tight fit and quite difficult to push down over the join and align with the screw holes. The reason for a two-piece design totally escapes me. It's a short 4-light fixture, so other than being able to ship in a slightly smaller box, there doesn't appear to be any benefit to two pieces that need to be screwed together and then augmented for strength with another piece. Just doesn't make sense to me. After assembling the light bar, the extension tubes that feed the wiring through to the back have to be screwed on. One of the two tubes would not thread onto the connector piece, so I had to remove the first tube and switch them around. With a bit of strength, I was able to hand tighten the tube. While feeding the wiring through the tubes, I noticed that the tips of the pre-stripped wires had been removed on one side, leading me to believe that this unit had possibly been previously sold and returned? Neither here nor there, and certainly nothing that would impact the installation or performance of the fixture. Once the bar was assembled, I attached the back plate to the tubes and then noticed that the bar tilted down to one side on the back plate. Adjusting the position to level is not possible, and this tilt will be visible after installation. I then also noticed that two sockets on the right side were crooked, which will make the light bulb tilt to one side, and may as well cause the glass shade to lean to the right. Very poor design (in my opinion), many parts to put together, which seems to be totally unnecessary and creates more opportunity to scratch the surface. I purchased a second fixture from another vendor. This fixture came all in one piece, very solid and needs nothing more than attaching the wiring to the power supply and screwing it to the wall.
