Volkswagen Fixing Parts for Floor Mat Set VW Beetle Convertible Eos Golf 3D0061795B41

I bought a 14 year old VW Golf that has oval anchors in the floor. I took a set of mats out of a MK4 Golf junker at the part yard, and most of the mounting clips were pulled out except one: these were originally round. Fun? The oval floor anchors had 1 piece still attached. Vdub said the part was from a Passat. We discussed that trying this set was worth a shot, because POS car is POS car (gently). I have to trim the points of the rugs to match these clips, which I keep setting them against the anchors in the floor so that my mat will remain flat when tacked down. Drivers floor mat done. I used these to replace the round-pin clips that were in Monster Mats I found for my Passat. Now, with these new oval clips installed, I can clip in the mats in the back of my Passat. The newer Monster Mats for my Passat don't have provision for any mounting clip holes, unfortunately, so I was fortunate to find a set in good condition that could be used, with these clips, in my car. I agree with other reviewer. I was thinking this was enough for the front and the back mats. The instructions with it clearly show 4 mats. Very had to lock them together. Very fast shipping though. Ordered on Friday. Got it in mailbox on Monday. Read more

The shipped product worked well with my rubber mats. I would have ordered 2 of these if I'd known that "set of 4" means four sets of clips for two mats, not four mats. I would think most people looking at the product description and picture would assume that they are buying a set of clips for four mats. I think the description should clearly specify that these are clips for two mats. I also think there should be a package for 8 sets (4 mats). I assume most people own a VW with four mats, not two. i have a 2006 VW Jetta TDI and ordered OEM car mats from Amazon. They were said to fit however after I received them I realized the mats did fit but they came with round clips and my car has oval inserts. So I ordered these and they worked great to solve the issue Read more
