It looks incredibly professional sitting on my desk, elevating the entire look of the room. Performance and Airflow: Do not let the "Jr." size fool you; this little machine is powerful. The airflow is focused and strong. • Smart Circulation: Because it is so powerful, I actually prefer to use the adjustable tilt head to point the fan upwards and away from me. This Vornado VFan Jr. Vintage is Soooo!!! beautiful, I'm very pleased!! I bought it. What more can I say about the fan? Don't expert a piece of plastic garbage, it's made out of very solid material, as everything was in the 1940's, the air that comes out is surprisingly cool, true it doesn't blow your hair away, but as I did say it's pleasantly cool. We've got a very old 1970's big fan (ugly)with four settings, this blows more vigourously, but the air that comes out is less cool, than the Jr. Vintage. It's perfect for the small table next to my bed, enough to get by on a hot summer day, even on the lower setting. I'm pretty sure one can't find a fan so beautiful & efficiënt for this kind of price. The only slightly negative thing I possibly could come up with is that the fan isn't totally silent, but the noise is very acceptabele, honestly! Nowadays I know about a fan almost totally silent costing 5 times the price and very ugly. Honestly this little fan is extremely stylish. By the way people living in Europe who want to buy this have to bear in mind that in the U.S. it's 120V. you''ll have to buy a very small transformer more or less the size of mobile phone adaptor, easily found on the internet. (220V towards 110V). This is inexpensive realy, around 10 euro. If not bang!!! Regret a lot, something so beautiful could go to pieces, only a small handiness to prevent it from happening. Also the plug in system is different but it's all on the small adaptor. You have to buy your fan first and then see on the internet what you need, easy you'll see, if not sure ask the online shop to be on the safe side. I LOVE the Vornado brand because they consistently deliver a high quality fan and this lil one is perfect! The low level is quiet and powerful especially considering the size. It’s solid and built very well. The design is so cool and understated that it won’t distract from whatever your personal style might be. I seriously don’t understand why people complain about the color?! The color is exactly spot on and it’s gorgeous. It is not a crisp blue bright white, it is “vintage” white which is basically a light cream color. Stop leaving bad reviews because you don’t know your whites. Also, for those who have issues with the on off dial on the back… really?! *sigh This lil guy is perfect and in the heat of summer the second setting will be more than enough to cool a big-small room. The price Is great considering it’s metal and not plastic. This baby is built to last many years. I read the reviews before buying and I really didn’t need to consider purchasing this as much as I did. It’s a solid, great brand, delivers the air flow & the style is perfect. A bit smaller than expected but it is worth it in air output. I like it as it is sturdy and durable. It looks cool and works good for its small size. I would go with the bigger 3 speed version if you want full body cooling, this is more of a small desk wind in the face type fan.
