Bought for a 62y/o developmentally disabled adult I care for, she’s nonverbal with severe cerebral palsy. She loves music, the cheap drum sets with button “drums” don’t have a good reaction time, so I bought these. 10/10. They have silicon/rubber pads to beat on for the drums, and cymbals. Very sturdy and satisfying for her to play with and hear the reverb/bass immediately respond to her tapping them. As for the technical aspect, all of the features she will never understand, but any child would enjoy them and learn a lot! My kids absolutely love this. It has some customization and even allows for samples to be recorded and applied to the pads directly from the device. There are backing tracks, a metronome, and basic lessons on different drum techniques. Best of all, you can plug headphones into the drum set. 😄 It doesn't take up too much space and has drumstick holders on the back, which is a great function so they don't get lost. So far they've been durable enough to hold up to both of my kids beating on them (only a few days, but that's better than a lot of their toys). I've even played with this a bit! No assembly needed. Engaging and fun drum set. Very durable and has withstood every misbeat by the drumsticks. Easy to use and the perfect size to tuck away if needed. Love that there is volume control and the option to connect headphones. The weight isn’t too heavy, my toddler can easily pick this up and bring it from one room to the other.
