It is a dupe for Estee Lauder. It's not a perfect replica but it's pretty close. I got the hydrating one because I have dry skin, it is really full cover for a full glam person. It does look like you're wearing foundation. If you want full cover in certain areas just get a small amount. 1. Small amount goes a long way 2. The finish is dewy 3. Prep your skin and apply as little or as small of amount as you want 4. Seal it if you want to, doesn't really move, but you you will get shiny or greasy with it. There are claims this is a dupe for Estee Lauder Double Wear. I've never used that so I cannot attest to that but this is a really nice foundation. Not scented. Blends extremely easily with a brush. Solid medium coverage. Does dry down somewhat but you do have a little tackiness, which I personally don't mind because the finish is lovely. It's smoothing. It doesn't settle in the lines around my eyes or in my pores. It has a glowy, dewy finish. Powder and cream products work well on top of it and it is fairly long lasting. I’ve been wearing Double Wear for around 6 years. I hoped to find a dupe to save money. I read this was the best in comparison. Very few shades. I normally wear 1N1. I decided on natural beige. Too dark. If I were to buy again I’d try sandy beige. The foundation doesn’t have a smooth finish. And even with powder it wipes off easily. It is a medium coverage where double wear is full. I have tried a lot of foundations. EL double wear is one of the only ones I have repeat-purchased. This one is not at all like it. This one goes on very wet and dewy. It does not dry down. Stays tacky. I set it with setting powder and it looked ok for an hour or so. But that dewy, sticky started to come through and then it looked terrible. This won't be for me.
