The media could not be loaded. I really wanted a ceiling fan to help make our top-floor master bedroom more comfortable in the heat of summer, and have never done anything more complicated with wiring than replacing light fixtures - so I was a little nervous about how this install would go, and anticipated some confusion and struggle. I also didn’t want to sacrifice design and aesthetics, so really hoped that this fan would work out, because it was the only one I really liked the appearance of, with the specs and features I wanted. As others have noted, the instructions aren’t very detailed, but I found them to be fully sufficient. Again, I’ve never installed anything this complicated before, but I read the instructions thoroughly to understand the whole process, and then took my time as I went step by step, referring to the next steps to know what to anticipate after I finished the current one. The biggest challenge was simply the tight working space that is an inevitable limit of the 6” rod, but I was patient and careful, and there were no surprises or problems. There were some steps that are assumed rather than stated in the instructions - like feeding the cords through the pole, trimming the excess length, and so on, but this was fairly straightforward and obvious to me as I went. I completed the install in a reasonable amount of time by myself without frustration, and bought the wall control as well. After I finished everything and turned the power back on, it worked perfectly, with no need to troubleshoot anything. The voice control works perfectly, the wall control is excellent, and the remote is great - though I mostly use the wall control and voice commands with my Alexa. After a couple of weeks of use, my husband and I agree that it’s one of the best investments we’ve ever made in our house. It doesn’t necessarily cool the bedroom, but it moves the air well, and is extremely quiet - nearly silent unless it’s on the maximum level, actually. While I used to just sweat heavily in bed during the summer, having fresh moving air has made it so I barely notice that the room is ten or more degrees warmer than I find tolerable! Not only that, but it looks fantastic. It’s a beautiful style that looks so much more sleek and attractive than the other models I was looking at, and it fits our decor aesthetic perfectly. Highly recommend, and very pleased with this purchase - and I was very proud of myself for installing this so easily on my first try! Read more

This is a well built and attractive fan. I mounted it on a ceiling with a 19 degree slope without a problem. It takes some time to assemble and especially to wire, but all of the wiring is color coded and clearly marked. The fan is silent and perfectly balanced when running. The instructions leave something to be desired but the missing details are fairly obvious (like run the wires through the down rod). It works well with the supplied remote and the phone app. Use the WAC app not the Modern Forms app as stated in the instructions. It works well with Alexa. Read more

Unit stopped responding 4 months in. Manufacturer sent a part. Paid my electrician to install. The light started working. Called the company again and they replaced the whole unit. I have paid an electrician 3 times due to this issue. Spent more on issues than the whole unit cost. Read more

Wonderful nice looking fan giving good airflow with absolutely 0 noise. Many of the competitors fans have lights with adjustable color temp. I see this as a plus but YMMV. Less unnecessary buttons, etc. The app works well and integration with Home Assistant is effortless through the Modern Forms integration. The integration supports all functionality. I haven't tried other integrations. Setup is like most any other fan but there are few nuances and the directions stink. 1. First step in the directions is to remove the hanging ball and cross pin from the downrod. Do it. This is to avoid the wires winding around each other when you screw the downrod into the fan. 2. Fan and light wires have to be cut and connected with wire nuts. While this is typical with AC motor fans, there is an extra 3rd fan wire plus the controller is significantly larger than with the AC fans I've installed. Wire management is a PITA. I used a few cable ties for wire management. Other DC fans have simple plug-in wire connectors, with wires that come short and are together in a single cable. This makes installation much easier. The fan is great and the remote ok. The bracket holds the remote by weak magnets and the buttons can't really be seen or pressed when when the remote is in the bracket. The wall switch for the fan is $50 accessory that has the same button layout as the remote. It works on the remote but it's a confusing jumble of buttons on the wall. A fan only wall switch is not available. Overall: great fan and with good IoT integration but poor physical control options. Read more

We've only had this fan installed for three days now, but it's great! My husband was able to install it himself pretty easily (though it comes with about 8 feet of wiring that he had to strip to fit into the bowl). It's lightweight compared to other similar sized fans, so this was his easiest install yet. We ordered the 12" downrod but there isn't any extra wobbling as a result. On its fastest speed, there was some slight movement from the bottom of the rod, but not much, and it was very quiet. It only took about three minutes to pair it with our Google Home, which I prefer over having to use a remote. And of course, the breeze output from this thing was felt in every corner of the room; it was some powerful airflow. Overall, I'm really happy with it. It finishes our living room nicely and we'll probably purchase the black/gold version for our bedroom next. Read more

I was looking for a fan that looked good with my other MCM fixtures and this is the only one that I could find that has the dome light. I bought the 12 inch downrod to go with it. It was easy enough to install, is silent, moves a lot of air and looks amazing! Read more
