I make sure to frequently brush out the cutting bars using the included cleaning brush to keep performance optimal. I also purchased Wahl shaver oil and apply a very small amount to the cutting bars regularly. This is a great electric shaver that gives a smooth, close shave. It doesn't irritate the skin and most importantly for me it doesn't rip the hair from your face. I only shave every 3 or 4 days and it takes off that growth perfectly. I recently purchased a Braun Series 7 and it was just too painful to use. It rips the hair from your face. I threw it away after 3 weeks. This shaver is perfect for me, it is small and lightweight, takes up very little room when you travel and fits great in your hands. Battery life is perfect. I an take it on trips without needing to bring the cord and it lasts and lasts. For the price it may just be the best shaver on the market right now. Read more
wow. This is the closest and fastest shave I've ever gotten out of an electric shaver. A few minutes has my head smooth and without irritation! Other shavers I've used would take 10 to 15 minutes to get a smooth feel. Now a month in…still a good shave but battery on full charge doesn’t even last a full cut of my bald head. Either this is a bad battery or this thing is awful. Original review: It is rare that an upgrade is actually worth the purchase and not just a bunch of marketing gimmicks but this one truly is worth it. I have been using the older Finale model for about 10 years and it finally died. The new Vanish cuts much faster and smoother and cut the time down to shave my head in about half. I love having a battery level display with the LED lights and the ability to change out individual foils instead of the whole set. My barber in Germany turned me on to this shaver. What I love most is that it gets my face clean and beard super close. But what’s even greater than the shave is that it won’t cut at all on the my other facial hair that I have on my face.
