I purchased this for our outside cat. It does provide the warmth she needs, however, when she jumps up on it, it slides out from under her. It didn't work for her so I had to buy something else. I bought this for my geriatric cat. She is at least 20 years old, and we are having a cold winter. I put it down for her in her usual napping spot, and she has NOT left it in 4 hours.
