It comes vacuumed sealed and puffs up a bit after opening. It’s thin, but the covering is plush enough. I’ve felt it after the cat has gotten up, and I can feel the warmth. I purchased this for our outside cat. It does provide the warmth she needs, however, when she jumps up on it, it slides out from under her. It didn't work for her so I had to buy something else. It is good for an outside house or bed. It just doesn't provide the slip resistance she needed. Read more

I bought this for my geriatric cat. She is at least 20 years old, and we are having a cold winter. I put it down for her in her usual napping spot, and she has NOT left it in 4 hours. She looks so toasty warm. ❤️ It is long, but not as tall and wide as I was expecting, which is actually great.
