I saw this game getting 1 and 2 star reviews and had to say something. First off the combat in this game is a ton of fun. You can play it like a third person shooter but it really shines when you get in close with a sword in one hand and a pistol in the other. The sword/gunplay is very fluid. I'd encourage anyone reading this to go take a look at the finishers on YouTube. They are varied and amazing. The voice acting can be spotty. Some characters are good and others sound phoned in. Some consistency would have been nice. It doesn't kill the game but it certainly isn't something they should be proud of. The music is really good. That's another high point to this game. The story isn't anything special. Don't buy this game if you're looking for an amazing story. The cutscenes are... interesting. Some are rendering in the game's graphic engine and then, out of the blue, come anime cutscenes. It's a fun idea and I wish they'd done more of them. In between the combat there are times you can wander around the police station engaging in all sorts of activities: crane games, ramen eating, a shooting gallery, and karaoke. That's what I've gotten into so far. In conclusion: if you like a gory action game that doesn't take itself too seriously, has great music and some eye-rolling voice acting, consider giving this game a try. Read more

Full Disclosure, I was pretty hyped for this game and thought it would be a sleeper hit. I was wrong. I preordered against my rule of never preordering games thinking it would be great. I was wrong. I watched IGN's review giving it a 4/10 and thought to myself ah no way it has to be at least decent. Once again I was wrong. I received my package at 8:51 pm and had a return code by 9:48 pm. This game insults Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy by being at the same price point as those games. An easy $20 game at best. Stray was far more polished and enjoyable than this game. I didn't make it past the first level, the game just felt bland and generic. The traits of a ps2 game with no flavor. Terribly bullet-spongy enemies, with sloppy weapon aiming to accompany it. I ended up sprinting around with the katana because the weapons felt useless. As much as I wanted to enjoy Wanted Dead and held out hope for it, it's not worth my time, especially for its asking price. Pass or wait for an extremely deep sale. Read more
