Non stop crushing ice daily for four years and still running strong. I went through five blenders—all which failed doing the same ice crushing task within only a few months. Many with toxic oil from the motor spilling out. This thing is built like a German Panther tank. The motor is soooo heavy—all those coils giving it incredible torque and longevity. Obviously good quality copper in the wire. This thing could power a go cart better than Briggs and Stratton —it could be used by SpaceX for their hydrogen pump. Don’t look any farther and don’t be short sighted and by a cheaper blender—it will cost you more in the long run when it fails after a few months. Read more

I picked this blender as it was "Commercial" with a heavy-duty motor, as I use a blender daily for making protein shakes with ice. It has been returned to Waring 3 times. The first time, the square drive shaft snapped and would not turn the blades, this happened in the first week of use. The second time, the nut holding the blades loosened and the unit would not blend. Again, within a week of getting it back from the service center. The third time we got back an apparently new unit, but there was no power to the unit...like a bad switch or cord. This was noticed immediately on unpacking the unit from the service center. Waring customer service has been great to work with, very professional, but come on. The 14.99 Rival blender we bought as a stop-gap has performed well for the entire period the expensive "Commercial" blender has been down. Sorry to say, but I would not buy this again. Read more
