This trash can if very unique looking. I have never seen one with legs. It looks more like a piece of furniture than a trash can. You can place it virtually anywhere. Two sides are a soft yet durable wood. Nice looking handles are on these wood pieces. The front and back of the trash can is made of textured acrylic. The description on the site is a little confusing as it states "glass". The legs have non-slip pads on the bottom. It is very easy to assemble. Took me less then 10 minutes to put it together. In my opinion the price is a little over priced. **My rating system: 5 stars means it exceeded my expectations, 4 stars met my expectations, 3 stars falls short of my expectations, 2 stars is considerably below my expectations and 1 star not recommending product Read more

As a MCM admirer I was very happy to find this footed wastebasket. I was immediately out off by the color, as I'm used to more earth tones for the style. I was happy to see the allen wrench included for assembly but disappointed to find that there were also Phillips head screws, so I had to get up off the floor to go find a screwdriver. It needs a smaller head, too, a regular size would probably strip those screws. Some of the screws were really tiny and hard to manage but overall assembly was not difficult and it did come with instructions. It has a lot of really unusual features, like the height (about 18") and the handles. I was trying to think of a bag to use in it, and would recommend a 6-gallon bag, although use off a bag would definitely diminish the esthetic. It is made of a thin mdf, the feet are metal, and the sides are a pebbled acrylic sheet that arrived with a protective film. Overall, I took a star for the color but the rest of it seems very well thought out. The screw holes are slightly offset for extra sturdiness, the feet and handles are that nice metal, and the height of it allows for a lot more uses. I'll be using it for yarn to sit next to my favorite chair. This would have benefited from a lid. Read more

This waste paper basket looks just as pictured. The size is appropriate for its function. It is lightweight. It is sturdy and does not wobble. It's a good value. We have used it for a month, and it has held up well. It seems like it would be appropriate for a dorm room as well as a home. It has a nice style offering a different look than just a round waste paper barrel. Read more

I've got to be honest with you. I'm right between 2-3 stars on this one but I couldn't side with 3....I'll give it 2 1/2 to be fair. Why? It doesn't match the photos. It looks nice & retro in the photos but looks closer to an IKEA style bargain item once you assemble it. The phillips head screws are all visible. There are no stickers to place over them to give it a more natural look. It looks sort of unfinished and industrial instead of cool and retro like the photos. It's not very big but it 'does say' 5-gallon and I'm not dinging it for that. Assembling it was easy but I could tell immediately I was in IKEA territory when it came to longevity. If you aren't rough on it, don't ever sit on it or place anything heavy in or on it...sure it can and probably will last you awhile. But it's not built very sturdy. The screws make the wood stress too much when you tighten it. I was nervous assembling it for fear of not finding the right balance of torque...one turn too little and it will rattle constantly. One turn too much and you'll snap the wood. The wood is pretty thin...about 1/4 inch (I measured it just now). I feel like there are better buys that offer a retro look and retro quality for the price. I was a bit let down by it but if it was priced more like a bargain product it wouldn't be a problem. Took about 20 minutes to assemble. The “glass” is plastic, but still looks pretty nice. I feel like the design would have looked nicer if the plastic panels had a channel on the side wood panels to just slide down into. The plastic panels are instead screwed on which leaves the look in my opinion to be kind of cheap. I do not think this is worth the price tag. Maybe half the price tag. That being said the trashcan is a good size and will function as trash can where I have it. Read more

At first, I didn’t really like that I had to put it together myself, but I was pleasantly surprised—assembly was really easy! Once assembled, it looks really nice and adds a decorative touch to my space. It’s nothing like a regular trash can; it has a sleek, stylish design that blends well in my office, bedroom, or bathroom. The 4-gallon size is just right for everyday use, and I love that it doesn’t look boring or utilitarian. Overall, I’m very happy with this trash bin—it’s functional and looks great! Read more
