I'm the tool / supplies junkie in my house, and as a female, I'm all about DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS. These are great quality, and I would purchase them again. I've had no issues with them. The connection is tight, the threads a great consistency. Seal them with teflon tape, is my suggestion. I don't like fighting metal on metal to pull it apart, using the old fashioned GOO GLUE GUNK...I call it, nor do I want leaks linking metal to plastic, which is common in the irrigation system. Teflon tape...there are different kinds for different intended uses...pay attention when buying...works great. I HATE LEAKS, and I'm the one ALWAYS designated to handle the plumbing. Rarely do I call a plumber, so that should tell you how successful the teflon tape is for me. Read more

You would think from the description that this is merely a change in size but these are also different types of fittings - NPT and compression. I needed both to be compression and it took me a long time to figure out why the 1/2 inch fitting didn’t fit. Plumbing terminology really needs more precision. I've replaced several faucets over the years, and I needed this adapter for a new faucet I purchased. After installing everything and turning on the water, the hoses were leaking/spraying at the wall. When I removed the hoses (connected by thesw adapters) the washers were twisted and pulled halfway down the adapter/hose spaces. I removed the rubber washers, set them carefully in the adapters, reattached them, and tried again. This time only the hot water side had the issue. I'm not sure if this is a normal problem, but the people I talked to who deal with plumbing professionally said this shouldn't happen. I haven't sorted out the hot water side yet, but since it's a 4 pack, I plan to see if one of the others in the pack will work better. Read more
