Only 4 stars for no warning about the following... Well, this is DEFINITELY waterproof! It says "wash & tumble dry," which I washed and then...YIKES!!! Went to take it out of washing machine (PAY ATTENTION HERE!!) & A LOT of WATER CAME SPILLING OUT OF the LARGE BLANKET onto our Utility Floor, RUNNING UNDER my WASHING MACHINE & DRYER! Thankfully I had a towel (of course it was a very nice, expensive towel-why God oh why?) ready for the next wash that I immediately threw on the floor while I RAN to get papertowels (did I mention we have a LARGE house?)...to try to stop as much water as possible from running UNDER the washer & dryer! SO BEWARE, THIS is WASHABLE, but when you go to remove it from your washing machine DO IT SLOWLY, letting WATER run off INTO your WASHER, NOT all over the FLOOR as I did - unless you just feel like cleaning your utility room floor for fun at a spare minute! (Did I mention we have expensive REAL WOOD FLOORS that'd warp if water's left on them?). The BEST PART tho' of THIS STORY is as my hubby & I were moving the washer & dryer to make sure we got ALL water off our beautuful wood flooring from our TOTAL REMODEL done in 2019, we saw how FILTHY our floors were BEHIND BOTH MACHINES! We have had the same WONDERFUL MAID for several years, but I guess taking a vacuum handle behind machines is not part of her job description-nor do we want her moving HEAVY things & getting hurt!! So, now we KNOW our laundry room floors, forward to back, ARE CLEAN TODAY where you cannot see them! I never thought to look back "there"!! You know how it is! Just been TOO BUSY! Time to look under & behind stove & frig ASAP! I KNOW that NOW! We just got a DARLING Imperial Shih Tzu 13 wk old puppy @ 2.5 lbs. & 6-7 lbs FULL GROWN! Have not had a PUPPY IN 30+ YEARS! I'm 60! We've kept her in a big pen, when we can't watch her in our large kitchen, but let her roam in kitchen when we're there to see ALL SHE'S DOING (EXHAUSTING!!), but lock the gate when we leave the room! We blocked off 3 stairs up to rest of house when we CAN'T watch her with our "eagle eyes!" Well, as this OTHER emergency was happening & dear hubby came RUNNING to help me, he didn't close the barrier & she escaped & went tearing thru the house! (Again, did I mention we have a LARGE house?) WHO knew a 2.5-3 lb. puppy could run SO FAST?! We have been so proud of her as we have been pad training her & she has (had) done REALLY GREAT, & so far in 4 LONG, EXHAUSTING DAYS we thought she must be a GENIUS & BRAGGED to friends/family how "perfect this darling little bundle of joy was!" Well after her "Escape from Alcatraz" she ran all the way back to our bedroom & into my large bathroom (as I was going back there to freshen up before eating as I'd done yard work & was sweaty), when my bare feet stepped in several LITTLE wet spots in about 1 square foot of my big bathroom floor. Now I KNOW I did NOT get that wet blanket NEAR MY BATHROOM, so there was ONLY ONE OTHER way my bathroom floor got wet, & yes, it was our "perfect" darling tiny Imperial Shih Tzu puppy - who was so excited to be FREE that she teetied in my bathroom. So I cleaned up the wetness (I KNOW getting ANGRY AFTER the fact does NOT WORK, IN TRAINING ...ONLY PRAISE works)! And, ahem, it's not just men who want yummy treats, but yummy, (healthy) treats, DOGS LOVE!! Then came the Clorox Wipes & I started wiping my bathroom floor with my feet (post training, I could no longer bend over) & found just how DIRTY my BATHROOM FLOOR TRULY WAS! Our maid, whom we love dearly, comes every 2 weeks because we are disabled, but I'm beginning to think she needs to come weekly because I have been needing to clean things in between her every 2 weeks. Only a few extra cleanings & I am finding out just how dirty things can get here in New Mexico where it is mostly desert with lots of various dirt & sand!! And WE remove our shoes as we come in our house! LESSONS STILL BEING LEARNED IN OUR SENIOR YEARS! WE just need someone in their 20's who (as they, as we did in OUR 20'S, KNOW EVERYTHING)! This furniture cover arrived in a day, had I ordered it earlier yesterday I could’ve gotten it the same day. We just got a brand new "off-white" couch and my husband lays all over it, so I want to keep the fabric clean looking and purchased this pet protective sofa cover. We also have a cat and my daughters dog visits often, though I'm much less concerned with them on the furniture as I am my husband :-) I ordered the 82 x 52 and it works out perfect for covering the cushions on the top and the seating area. With this length I can also cover the top cushion and the seat or the bottom cushion and the vertical sides to the carpet. Luckily, it has little dog print rubber grippers on the opposite side that seems to be holding the cover well on my tweed like fabric. It needs smoothing out but is not falling off. It’s easy to put on and takeoff when we have company. I might order another in the size 30 x 82 to cover just the seats. This way I have a back up when I need to wash it. Currently, it’s waterproof but I got it more to protect the fabric from getting dirty or absorbing pet odors vs spills. I’m thrilled with my purchase. It is a perfect match to the sofa and this color was priced at $19.99, it was one of the cheapest prices for this size on Amazon. The only thing I do have to say is it was almost impossible to remove the cover from the bag, it was in there so tight I almost got a pair of scissors to cut it out! Highly recommend! Read more

We have an older dog that dribbles urine and needed something to protect the bed when she lays with us. The first thing that stood out is that there was no chemical odor. Not sure what some companies put on their fabrics, but often the smell is really strong and doesn't go away when the item is washed. If this cover had any odor, it wasn't noticeable and that was so important since it would be going on our bed. The weight is nice -- like a heavy blanket, which helps the cover stay in place when the dogs are moving around on the bed. Little rubber-like pads on the backside also help keep the cover from sliding around on the bed. The top fabric is soft and nice enough for humans to lay on. The underside is not something I would want against my skin due to the rubberized mini pads that make it skid proof. I also appreciate that the cover looks like a normal bedspread, not an incontinence pad. The thing I like most about this item is that dribbled urine will make a moist spot or puddle w/o absorbing into the fabric. That makes it possible to use wet wipes or damp cloths to spot clean, keep the cover from smelling of urine, and minimize the need to machine wash. Since my 14lb maltipoo only dribbles small amounts at a time, I've no idea what would happen if there were larger amounts of liquid or if it were allowed to sit for an extended period. Definitely plan to but another of these to put on the sofa so we have something large enough to cover the back as well as the seat. Read more

This cover is made of a nice, durable fabric that probably works just fine to keep pet fur off of furniture and prevent claw scratches, but it is falsely advertised for pet incontinence. My pup had an accident on this cover, none of the urine was absorbed, and it just rolled off onto the carpet below, creating a situation. Read more
